Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

This is called 'Astartes'

Nice! I saw this hit my feed the other day, but hadn't watched yet.

As a big fan of the WH40K universe (though more on the Inquisitor/RPG side - I wrote a DH2e chargen module at one point) this was really cool to see. This got me looking for the handful of really high quality fan-made "movies" (usually shorts) that I've seen previously, but I cannot easily find them... GW IP division strikes again!

I watch a lot of trailers on Youtube and subscribe to a variety of the channels that provide them. Noticing that they are releasing full length movies more and more over this crisis period.

The Void.. if you are into Eldritch horror types. Trailer and full movie below

That's cool. Does it still exist ? I missed out on the RPG and wargaming part of the franchise, but really enjoy reading the novels and luckily there is a ton of them with many flavours.

Inquisitor

Eisenhorn is one of my favourites.
I've heard a live action adaptation in TV show or movie format was currently in the works. Hope it turns out better than the game ...

To be fair though, afaik recently GW hired someone who made another fan movie, to work on an upcoming animated TV show. I gotta give them credit for that.

Ha, I hadn't seen that clip!

Eisenhorn is what got me into it in the first place, still have that omnibus floating around in my boxes of books somewhere. I had to dig, but yes, my chargen module still exists.

The No Backgrounds version is for easier screen reading.

edit: I meant to post this above and can't believe that I forgot. Stop what you're doing and spend the next couple days reading The All Guardsmen Party if you haven't encountered it yet. This is the write up of one group's DH campaign, where all the PCs are Imperial Guardsmen. They started by rolling up characters in Only War, and then took the survivors into DH for the rest. These guys manage to capture grunt life as we know it, set in the grimdark future of 40k.

When it comes to rpgs really my experience is mostly limited to videogames. So I may not be the most useful critic for you but I can see and appreciate when someone has put a lot of thought into his work, and I really like your organic "in play" proposition and setup. Very well explained and easy to understand. Thank you very much for sharing. Really well done. Might as well use the time to get into and try it out with some people. Btw love the use of the Ordo Hereticus seal as structure lol

The All Guardsmen Party sounds hillarious. Seeing it for the first time. Gonna check it out.

Mods, sorry for going a little off-topic. <3

I expected very little but got some surprisingly good acting out of it.
Re: Bad Boys 3

Agreed. I was not at all pleased with #2, especially the ending in Mexico, but this movie was worth the wait and absolutely sets up a natural #4 if they want to go that way.
