Josh Brolin was a phenomenal pick for Cable today, couldn't think of a better choice - but growing up I always envisioned this man in his 80's/90's prime as Cable:

The nerd in me isn’t super psyched about this. The film takes place in a universe entirely separate from the Marvel films/Spider-man universe. So how will they account for the spider logo? Who’s he going to interact with? Who is he going to fight? Frankly I think hardy (a great choice) should have held out and waited for Disney to eventually get the rights for venom back under Marvel Films and done the character in the extended universe

IIRC Harrison Ford did his chopper flying in the last Expendables movie.

I believe that to be true. As I understand, he spends much of his off time volunteering his chopper and his flying time to a local S&R team.

Went to see Darkest Hour today. I give it a 10/10. Gary Oldman was amazing. I really felt that I was actually watching Winston Churchill, not the actor at all. Hat tip also to Ben Mendelsohn who portrayed King George. Having seen "The King's Speech" it was interesting to contrast that performance of King George with Mendelsohn's. I highly recommend this film.
