Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

I saw it the other night. It has all the good bits of a good action movie but no titties. Unfortunately this isn't the 80s/90s anymore. It has Jason Statham and Kiwi Cliff Curtis and a giant shark so I was sold from the start. Go in expecting a stupid action movie and don't take it seriously and you'll enjoy it.
So a remake of Deep Blue Sea?

Gal Gadot in a Showtime series on Hedy Lamarr and now Olga Kurylenko lands a role playing her in a movie. Hot women playing a geek, take my money...

Olga Kurylenko to Play Hedy Lamarr in 'Radiant' - IMDb

The movie centers on the unlikely friendship between Lamarr and radical composer George Antheil. Despite their high-profile entertainment personas, the duo developed a radio guidance system for Allied torpedoes in 1941, which paved the way for modern communications such as GPS and Wi-Fi technology.

Obviously haven't seen the film yet but I don't know how someone could make a movie about Neil Armstrong and not include one of the most iconic images of the 20th century.

They, Hollywood, fail to understand that at the time it was a time to celebrate a great American accomplishment and we beat the Russians. It's quite sad how far away we've come from then.

Mile 22 was very good, or to put it more academically- “badass as fuck.” Sure it has a 21% on the Tomato Meter, but it still features a dude getting his throat slit on a broken window...

I absolutely loved it. My buddy and I laughed a lot more than the rest of the audience though.

In other news, season 1 of Jack Ryan is out on Amazon Prime. I finished the 8th episode this morning and I can't wait for season 2. Upgrade wasn't a bad flick either. I'm easily entertained.

Mile 22 was decent. Seems like I spent most of the movie asking, "what did he say again?". Wahlberg talk so fast. But it was a good flick. Definitely sets up for a sequel.
