Dame Helen Mirren, action movie diva. She looks pretty good for 74...but waaay too old for me.

Saw "Doom: Annihilation"
You know when you're switching channels at night and discover one of those unheard/unseen generic sci fi action/horror flicks that like to end on a cliffhanger, but ketchup gore is really the only substance ?
That's essentialy what you get. It's your typical B movie. Passable acting, effects and plot. It's not terrible. I thought there were a couple cool scenes. But it's not a great movie by any stretch either. This is something you would watch at home when there is nothing else on TV.
The only reason I think this movie was better than 2005 "DOOM" is because of game references. Though I am pretty sure one of them upset the entire fanbase

Saw “Us” on the plane. First horror I’d seen in about three years. Quite enjoyable. Looking forward to seeing “Joker” when I get back

I'm watching the last two episodes of BB first so I can get the story straight. It's been a few years.
Watching it right now.
Definitely wish El Camino had happened a few years ago. A 30 something Aaron Paul playing a teenager just doesn't feel right.
But, overall it has a BB feel and is enjoyable.

Not being the type to watch and re-watch shows, I see now how they set up Better Call Saul and this sequel in the last couple episodes of BB. Genius writing.

I only watched the last two and went off memory. I'm still watching the last 15 mins of El Camino, and I'm guessing there's even more in the future.
I hope so, but it didn't end with any cliffhangers for Jesse.

1) Helen Mirren in a prison jumpsuit is still delicious.
2) Vanessa Kirby could make me forget the cost of losing 14 years' worth of contracting...
3) Statham and the Rock should just make movies TV shows, commercials, etc. together. Those two have a rapport on screen that is strong.
4) Not too fast, not too furious until the last 30 minutes and then Ho. Lee. Shit. They took all of the BS from prior movies and jammed that into the last 30.
5) Idris Elba is a straight pimp. "Black Superman"... nah you're an English Denzel. Just a badass.
6) The movie is so over the top stupid that you can't even be mad with all of the shenanigans.
7) Vanessa Kirby is HAWT!
