Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

The only thing that bothers me is that:

They are all graduating at Miramar. Then, something clacks off and they are immediately pulled from school.

What, no Pacific or Atlantic fleet groups with fighters available that they need newly minted top gun grads?
I can barely watch military shows because I'm so critical. I know everyone loves MASH and it can be funny, but I can't stand watching officers running around out of uniform and acting like clowns.

Accurate to how NG and reserve medics folks are in the field, tho.
Yeah, and I can sorta understand why a bunch of people drafted and didn't want to be there would act this way. I'm just a bit uneasy with the way it portrays us. The plus side to the show is that when the birds came in, they all got down to business and did their job.

Medical folks are medical first, and they'll often act that out. Uniform standards go out the window.

In the field?
I see NG folks on ADOS orders walking around like bags of shit at Ft Bragg every single day.

I don't know how the army folks do it. In the navy the medical field reservists usually are pretty good in the MTF or on base, but in the field it's sometimes like they are on a camping trip. But then they are generally not field-focused, either since there are a lot fewer of those units. The AD guys are usually pretty tight.

I'll tell you EXACTLY how they do it...
...it's because the US Army will TALK a big game about standards - we just don't ENFORCE those standards.

It's why you literally cannot count how many different styles of boots are worn "in uniform"
It's why most SF and Ranger guys dont even WEAR issue style boots in uniform anymore.
Some of them don't even wear "boots" they just wear 'Trail Runners'
...it's not like anyone really blouses their trousers anymore
...that is soooo Two Thousand and Late

It's easy if you know how.
