The self identity thread.

She's just jamming 2 things together and assuming they all are connected.
Most missing Indigenous women are killed in the Reservation by Indigenous men. There's a bunch caught up in human trafficking as well.

MMIW - Missing Murdered Indigenous Women
The rest - queer crazy.

It looks like the government set up Support lines that combined them.

I can't tell if it's intended to be purely for Indigenous women and queers, or if it's Indigenous women+any racial group queers.

I can sort of understand if its the first one, but not at all if it's the second one.

How the fuck did she guess my Exchange password!?!

Oh, I guarantee it's only queer indigenous women or identified as women. Our government is all about the hierarchy of intersectionality. As long as it generates votes. They just accepted one of the loudest social conservatives into the party. She was either blackmailed or bribed but it shows they don't care about anything they say, it's all about keeping power.

... I've heard you're OK with that. 😁

Only on days that end in "Y"

That being said - I continue to post in this thread as a PROUD member of the GNB+ community, or as I like to call it, the 'List of Important Yet Irrelevant Letters' (LIYIL). Every day, I wake up and check the news, just in case a new letter has been added overnight; I refuse to mislabel myself because of inadvertently leaving of new letters in the growing list of special interest groups. In the current landscape of the GNB+ community, that could result in me being treated as though I am stuck in 2015.

Pronouns, of course, are like my morning coffee. I collect them like Pokémon cards. My email signature now takes up three pages, and my Zoom name is a scrolling ticker of self-expression. I’m currently “ze/zir/zig/zag,” but I’m open to suggestions.
After all, language is a living thing, and so is my identity, especially after my third oat milk latte from the Wednesday morning coffee truck in the parking lot.

Meanwhile, I’m thrilled to see society championing equity and such, though I do find it charmingly postmodern that no one can quite agree on what a “woman” really is, much less what it takes to be recognized as a 'Guy Named Box'.
It’s a bit like fighting for the rights of unicorns while refusing to admit whether or not they have horns. I propose we settle this with a national game of charades and the winner gets to define “woman” for rest of the week.

I look forward to the day when the GNB+ community recognized acronym is longer than the alphabet itself. The day when every individual can introduce themselves with a 30-minute PowerPoint on the pronouns that best describe they/their/them/xe/xir/xem pronouns.
Until then, I’ll be here, fighting for equality, ambiguity, and the right to be gloriously undefined as a PROUD member of the GNB+ community.

Yours in ever-expanding inclusivity,
Box/Bix/Bax/Bex/Bexen/Bixen/Baxen/Boxen
