The Trump Presidency 2.0

I think you're right. They hired her because of what she was, not what she could do... which isn't much. She's probably mad that she didn't immediately land a spot on MSNBC and/or The View or whatever. It's a testament to how toxic she is as a public speaker, and most likely as a human being, that even the usual suspects aren't willing to bring her on. As others have said, this could be her reach for relevancy.

Or, maybe, she had an awaking and was like, "Nah, fuck all y'all, I'm out." But I suspect it was more like the former.

That statement got the better of me, so I had to look up Jen Psaki's timeline.
May 5, 2022 - Announced she's leaving on the 13th
May 13- Leaves
May 24 - Begins stint as MSNBC contributor
March 19, 2023 - Hosts her first show on MSNBC
May 2024 - Releases a book
April 2025 - Has her own primetime show on MSNBC

I'm not saying KJP is bitter or a problem employee, but she's clearly not loved by her side of the political spectrum.

Trump announces travel ban and restrictions on 19 countries set to go into effect Monday

"The new ban includes Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
There will be heightened restrictions on visitors from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela."
Good. MOAR.

And just like that- watch the democrats defend open air slavery (Togo), the "north korea of Africa" (Eritrea), communist countries (Cuba) and countries where the single largest export is either drugs or terrorism (Afghanistan, Chad, DRC, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen).

My biggest concern is twofold- people are now going to code switch from economic experts to international relations experts and possibly the biggest worry- WHERE ARE WE GOING TO GET OUR EQUATORIAL GUINEA PIGS NOW?! Didn't think about THAT, did you MAGATs?!

There were literally millions of other people they could have picked for the job. Millions of women. Millions of non-white people. Millions of gay people. Millions of immigrants. But purely for DEI checkmarks they wanted a gay/black/female/immigrant, and they may have picked literally the worst one they could have. She was a TERRIBLE press secretary, especially compared to the ones who were immediately before and especially immediately after her. She, like the president, wasn't up for the job. Everyone knew it, the Dems were too scared to do anything about it.

Jen Psaki's numbersl are abysmal. She's down 47% from Moscow Maddow, clocking the 94th most popular show on TV.

If CNN and MSNBC weren't on at every airport, my podcast with my friends would trounce her viewership.

Do you know where to obtain equatorial guinea pigs? Cost per unit? Life expectancy? Environmental/ habitat concerns? Offspring produced per year?

Thought so. Stick with what you know, pony boy.

I think I said it before here, Elon just speedrunning his path from dyed in the wool liberal to completely fed up with our system in 145 days.

Bad optics aside, very on brand for them both, and I get where Elon is coming from.
Concur. Let's also keep in mind, as this bill reinforces, that Trump isn't exactly a staunch conservative either.

I absolutely love this. We've known Trump is mentioned (there are pics and he was in the unredacted versions)- he's on record giving testimony.

Now, if he is "in" the Epstein files like I assume Bill Clinton is in there- then this is the absolute funniest possible scenario.

Fiat justita, ruat caelum. I do not care who is in it, they all burn.

Because they didn't immediately dump all of the files Twitter style right after Trump took over, we knew that important people with (R) after their names were in there. Would not surprise me at all if it were Trump. But "in the files" is one thing, "doing illegal shit" is something different. I guess we'll see.

Or is he doing different illegal shit? 🤔
