I think you're right. They hired her because of what she was, not what she could do... which isn't much. She's probably mad that she didn't immediately land a spot on MSNBC and/or The View or whatever. It's a testament to how toxic she is as a public speaker, and most likely as a human being, that even the usual suspects aren't willing to bring her on. As others have said, this could be her reach for relevancy.
Or, maybe, she had an awaking and was like, "Nah, fuck all y'all, I'm out." But I suspect it was more like the former.
That statement got the better of me, so I had to look up Jen Psaki's timeline.
May 5, 2022 - Announced she's leaving on the 13th
May 13- Leaves
May 24 - Begins stint as MSNBC contributor
March 19, 2023 - Hosts her first show on MSNBC
May 2024 - Releases a book
April 2025 - Has her own primetime show on MSNBC
I'm not saying KJP is bitter or a problem employee, but she's clearly not loved by her side of the political spectrum.
