Why not. '72 GOP and Dem conventions were both held in Miami. Nixon was concerned about hippy riots. He sent 2nd Bn 6th Marines--my unit--and a battalion from the 82nd Airborne. We lived in a tent city between runways at Homestead AFB and practiced riot control drills and bashing hippy brains on the tarmac every day.

Same thing in '82 at 7th Marines in Pendleton. Riots in LA over the "chokehold" the police kept killing "nice citizens" with.

It as a big deal news deal at the time. Noone wanted anything to do with "riot control, stateside"

On Sunday, Bannon agreed with Todd when he said that Musk “never would have passed a security clearance as must a mid-level staffer.” Also on Todd’s show, Bannon took issue with a March report that Musk, who has extensive business interests in China, was expected to receive a briefing about potential U.S. military action in that country.

“Why would you need a briefing at a highly classified level, in the tank, at the Pentagon on the China war plan?” asked Bannon, who called Musk an “agent of influence.”

It's why nobody on the left hated Tom Homan when he did damn near the same job for Barak Hussein Obama.
It's why those cackling hens on The View loved them some Donald Trump until he added an R to the end of his name.
It's why whatever Trump is doing now is OK with me "now" just as long as some godless commie democrat doesn't try to do the same thing.
