The Trump Presidency 2.0

I’ve never seen anyone resist a 1mg/kg dose. However agitation and hallucinations are a side effect. If you use it with midaz, it is a profound anesthetic drug. It is our primary analgesic for open heart surgeries now. 0.2-0.5mg/kg/hr, and we now give about 1/4 of the Fentanyl we used to.

I don’t know what your max dose is, but you can give a lot of Ketamine with little to no risk depending on the catecholamine situation the patient is in.

How much to get to a k-hole?

It's worked before, 4mg/kg IM, 2mg/kg IV.

We followed up with Versed, nothing. In trauma bag, he received Geodon and Haldol, notta.

Received 2mg/kg IV, additional versed, notta.

I dont know why they didn't RSI him. I'd love to know what his CPK/K was after all that. I imagine he was spilling K and myoglobin like a mo-frapper.

I've had other agitated delirium pts that were fighting buses, cops and pulling up concrete do just fine with K.

In fact, I learned that low dose is great for pain, as I presume you use. Im told mid dose just pisses them off and high dose puts em in K hole.

The ED doc was like, oh, just give him 5mg/kg. Ok doc, you do that, we'll follow protocols.

@amlove21

I has the sad, because this was really entertaining while it lasted. Anyway, you've heard of TACO, well get ready for MACO.

https://www.cnn.com/2025/06/11/business/musk-regrets-some-posts-about-trump-intl

Elon Musk said Wednesday that he regrets some of his recent social media posts about President Donald Trump.

“I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far,” Musk said in a post on X.

Musk’s relationship with Trump deteriorated in a spectacular, public fashion last week as the two men traded jibes on their respective social media platforms.

Anyway, back to the show.

ABC was really comfortable trashing Trump for the last couple "two-tree" years, let's check in on them today.

https://www.cnn.com/2025/06/10/media/abc-news-terry-moran-exits-trump

ABC News is parting ways with veteran correspondent Terry Moran, two days after he posted a missive on X calling President Donald Trump and deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller “world-class haters.”

The network said Tuesday afternoon that Moran’s contract was about to expire, and “based on his recent post — which was a clear violation of ABC News policies — we have made the decision to not renew.”

Hell, it is almost like they have to cater to advertisers now and as if those advertisers have to cater to the people who buy their products. Good thing the MSM is still trusted for news and journalism, not shilling for dollars and political points.

Something I find hi-fucking-larious about this, ABC televises The View. ABC, why don't you have a seat over there with Jake Tapper, and KJP.

For less serious news; all Army bases that were changed because of confederate names are changing back.

From the Article:
“For a little breaking news, we are also going to be restoring the names to Fort Pickett, Fort Hood, Fort Gordon, Fort Rucker, Fort Polk, Fort A.P. Hill, and Fort Robert E. Lee,” Trump said while speaking at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. “We won a lot of battles out of those forts. It’s no time to change. And I’m superstitious. I like to keep it going.”

These range from some original suggestions I had seen on here:
Fort Gordon, Georgia, formerly Fort Eisenhower, will honor Master Sgt. Gary I. Gordon, perhaps the best-known soldier among the new namesakes. Gordon, a Delta Force soldier, was awarded the Medal of Honor after he volunteered to defend wounded crew members at a helicopter crash site during the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu, Somalia. He held off an advancing enemy force to protect a wounded pilot until he was killed.

Creative usage of identity to deflect possible criticism:
Fort Lee, Virginia, formerly Fort Gregg-Adams, will be named in honor of Medal of Honor recipient Pvt. Fitz Lee, a Black Buffalo Soldier, for his heroism during the Spanish-American War. During a coastal assault in Cuba, Lee voluntarily disembarked under direct enemy fire to rescue wounded comrades from the battlefield.

The digging up of some random soldier with same name to justify it:
Fort Pickett, Virginia, renamed from Fort Barfoot, will be named for 1st Lt. Vernon W. Pickett, a Distinguished Service Cross recipient in World War II. The Army did not provide details on Pickett’s unit nor where he fought, noting in a release that he was captured and escaped after a battle, rejoined his unit and was eventually killed in action.

And a real try hard effort to keep one name:
Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, formerly Fort Walker, will be named for three Civil War Medal of Honor recipients: Lt. Col. Edward Hill, 1st Sgt. Robert A. Pinn and Pvt. Bruce Anderson. The three earned the Medal of Honor at different engagements at Cold Harbor, Virginia; Chapin’s Farm, Virginia; and Fort Fisher, North Carolina.

Very "warfighter" focused. I'm sure the soldiers out at Cavazos are happy the base is being renamed to Hood; gives them something to boost their morale since Barracks maintenance Has been cut to "only life sustaining projects"..

Friend of mine is at Cavazos, he says everyone still calls it Ft. Hood.

Well yeah. Nothing against GEN Cavazos, but most soldiers didn't know of him or his accomplishments enough to care.

Now if the Army had pulled its head out of its ass and named it Benavidez? That might have been different.
Holy shit +10. I cannot possibly agree any harder with this. One shot and they fumbled the bag.
