The Trump Presidency 2.0

I actually disagree with him on this.
If he's serious he'll announce a military buildup and reactivate dormant bases.
That was my thought. Just use the 1951 agreement and buildup the US military. I dont think Greenland would have a problem with that, and would probably even share resources, but he's getting understandable pushback from the leaders in Greenland for threatening to take their land. I'm of Irish decent, so not real fond of that approach.

Wow.

It's absolutely amazing to me how much people are willing to share with total strangers.

It also makes me wonder what's being leaked that we never find out about.

Some dudes will say (or leak) absolutely anything if they think they'll get laid.

Sorry, we're all out of that model. Best we have is Katt Williams.

Anyways, I'm going to re-highlight the real reason Democrats are up in arms about illegal immigration enforcement effects and specifically how it plays into this administration:

The Congressional apportionment calculation is based upon the total resident population (citizens and noncitizens) of the 50 states.

Removing illegal immigrants is directly removing their power base because without the total body count, the balance for district lines as well as numbers of representatives would be less skewed.

Trump needs to get the states that aren't sanctuary states to finally admit to themselves that sanctuary state policies are a direct attack on the political balance and design of our constitutional republic, and bring forth a multi-state lawsuit against said sanctuary states which will allow the maximum polite force that the federal institutions can bring to bear to force compliance and prevent those who support them from ever getting into a position of power within our governments again.

Real talk here.

Timmy wants a real shooting war with Trump and this is his way of getting one finally, instead of backing down he doubles down on the TDS. A real leader whom isn't scum....tells his people to back down, we are a nation of laws and not the lawless and our war isn't with the feds or Trump, it's in the courts.

What does both Walz and Frey do instead? Walz tells Trump to end an "occupation" and gives a warning order to the state's NG, and Frey goes on camera saying he'll use his police to arrest the feds. The easiest, peaceful, solution to de-escalating is tell the troublemakers using their own "elected" leaderships to stop, cooperate, and agree to the removal of illegal aliens.

This isn't about orange man bad, this is about two egos in Minnesota who are putting lawlessness and TDS in priorities in petty, petulant, spite, over their own constituents health and welfare.

Feds are not obligated to fund a state activation.
They typically do as a courtesy, but the state is obligated, Waltz owns it.

I understand that, I'm talking about Federal funding in general.

I genuinely don't know the answer as to what the Feds can withhold. Sure, MN pays out of hide for the activation, but say money for...vehicle maintenance or "dual use" sustainment and training funding gets yanked. "That pot of money for your flight hours? Gone." sort of example.

Feds have to fund Basic Training, AIT, AT and UTA's.
Anything out of state is discretionary.
Ex, mid 90's, SF Command developed a certification process. 19th Group refused to play using the Guard Card.
MG Davis withheld their COBRA GOLD funding.
Reverse Guard Card.
They relented. LOL.
Same process, NGB doesn't have to release funding for ops or exercises.

Trump can also Federalize the Guard (LBJ did that with the AR Guard when desegregation was being blocked in Little Rock, Arkansas ).

I remember that one. I think our cert eval year was 98, but it could have been 97. As explained to us it had to be done every three years but we only did it once.

19th going to Cobra Gold while 20th had home station ATs, JRTC, or a few JCETs is mildly irritating.

Ah, Cobra Gold....

Over a couple years on the Navy/Marine reserve side they were actively soliciting bodies for Cobra Gold. It was not hard to get people.
