Anyways, I'm going to re-highlight the real reason Democrats are up in arms about illegal immigration enforcement effects and specifically how it plays into this administration:
The Congressional apportionment calculation is based upon the total resident population (citizens and noncitizens) of the 50 states.
Removing illegal immigrants is directly removing their power base because without the total body count, the balance for district lines as well as numbers of representatives would be less skewed.
Trump needs to get the states that aren't sanctuary states to finally admit to themselves that sanctuary state policies are a direct attack on the political balance and design of our constitutional republic, and bring forth a multi-state lawsuit against said sanctuary states which will allow the maximum polite force that the federal institutions can bring to bear to force compliance and prevent those who support them from ever getting into a position of power within our governments again.
