The Trump Presidency 2.0

Here's my big issue:

We're a year into the 2nd Trump administration and Republican trifecta and there's virtually nothing to show for it. Just a bunch of early EO's that will all easily be reversed at the first opportunity by Democrats. There's really been no meaningful legislation to address any of the issues Republicans and Trump ran on. Doing > talking and all I'm seeing is a bunch of no action talkers. DOGE seemingly died on the vine after, what, 2 months?

instead, we're talking about nonsense with Greenland and watching lawless bullshit in Minneapolis again.

That's not what I voted for.
I could not love your post more. We are going to be devastatingly destroyed in this upcoming election. Destroyed. When the Dems have power again, and they will, standby to standby.

When I think about what Trump is done to this party, the party I have been a proud member of since the early 90s, it makes me so angry. I love a good Star Wars reference, and this one really hits home…

I refuse to blame Trump for the inaction.
He may be guilty of pages and pages worth of random shenanigans - but it certainly isn't government inactivity.
Maybe I'm just watching all the wrong news programs.

The Republican led house and the Republican led senate have made decades long careers out of inaction.

Then - they refuse to help their party president push through a conservative agenda.

ITS.WHAT.THEY.DO.

The entire republican apparatus has been a shameful disappointment for most of my adult voting life and they all thrive on blaming their inactivity on anything but their own inactivity.

Its WHY we end up with executive orders. These shit fisted corrupt pricks in Permanent DC have ZERO problem allowing the POTUS to get ALL of the blame - but everyone forgets that McCain talked endlessly about "the wall" before Trump showed up.
I LIVED IN AZ - I watched this self appointed so called "Maverick" walk the fence with BP officers while campaigning for reelection
finish the wall
finish the wall
finish the wall
...then suddenly - the wall was stupid

Repeal and replace Obamacare was a battle cry of the right.
Then they got a little control...
Boo Hoo - our voters don't understand that we can't do it alone - the other half of the legislature will never send it to the democrat POTUS
...AND IF THEY DO, HE'LL JUST VETO IT
....BOO HOO HOO

Then they got their trifecta - and some of these cocksuckers actually voted AGAINST the repeal and replacement of Obamacare
something these pricks had ALL been running on

....trumps fault
...he's just so childish
Booooo doanld Trump
HOOOORAAAAAAY good decent republicans that cant get anything done because Donald Trump is an immature egomaniac

I'm not drinking the Bad Trump kool aid - I'm not taking any candy from the PDF file politian in the red and white van.
ITS.NOT.JUST.TRUMP.

I'm over it folks.
Its the ones that are there in permanent Washington YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR...
...the ones that spend more time bashing their own party and their own voters than they spend bashing democrats and leftist agitators

The same ones that have their constituents convinced that "they" cant get it done because of Trumps Twitter posts.
Bullshit.

Multiple Democrats have entered bills for consideration to destroy my alma mater. One would dissolve VMI (funnily, written by a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, clearly his alma mater failed him). Yes, I have previously been an advocate to disband service academies, but I have my reasons, mostly because of the people who I went through basic course with and subsequently served with. But that's a small sample size for a school that graduates 1100-1500 officers per year. The other bill would transfer all assets to VSU, VSU is one of the lowest standard universities owned by the State, VMI's unique system makes it the hardest school in the state that trains men and women to be true Citizens and leaders.

VA Democrats have also voted to approved a ballot proposal that would re-draw the congressional map to 10 D -1 R. Like California they are doing what they accused Texas of doing. Texas is actually undoing successive years of gerrymandering and attempting to compact districts much like Florida.

Virginia Democrats have always been vile people.

When I think about what Trump is done to this party
What exactly has he done to the Republican party?

I'm not trying to create any controversy, or argue anything in Trump's favor. As a fellow conservative with an obviously different perspective, I'm genuinely interested in your points of view.

What has he done that republicans:
a) haven't already done behind closed doors
b) haven't been campaigning on without actually fixing
c) pretending to care about while not actually DOING anything about it

...if the democrats weren't the party of civil war and drag queen story hour for small children
...and the libertarians weren't the party of something something - HEY, when are we going to legalize marijuana for everyone ??

Well, I'd have stopped being a republican decades ago...
...maybe even waaaaay back when they ran on protecting gun rights but then helped the democrats pass the assault weapons ban
...you know, some of the SAME republicans that are currently in power
...pretending to be "good" republicans

"Republicans"
...sort of like democrats - but with an American flag as a stage prop instead of a rainbow flag

This is a big issue in the Canadian Veteran community. It was already becoming divided with the Liberal leaning angry over 51st State comments and Greenland. Publishing stories about military planning to use insurgency tactics against an American invasion. Now guys I know that are more Conservative are pissed. To be fair, our government has said worse; to our faces.
I know it's a tactic to throw NATO off balance during negotiations. But people here are so mentally weak, it's building support for Carney and pushing us into the arms of China.

Trump's right about NATO and Afghanistan. We cold have lost that one on our own, we didn't need any outside help.
Oh I'm in complete agreement and I'm willing to admit a good portion of our losses are due to our own leaderships lack of balls and failure to properly equip us. Throw in the NATO bullshit ROE's and "nation building". Besides Canada going to Afghanistan was a compromise because old crooked mouth, Chretien, refused to send us to Iraq.
