President Trump is speaking at West Point's graduation today. My family is going; I'm not, but only because I need to get set up for a more-involved commissioning ceremony.

My daughter asked me when it would end so she could plan the rest of the day. "It's President Trump, honey. It's gonna be a while." ;)

My nephew graduated from Liberty when Trump spoke, the family said it was a pretty big ordeal. I worked EMS in the Clinton motorcade when he spoke at UNC-CH's graduation, THAT was a very long, drawn-out event.

It's always a big hassle when a president comes to graduation here. For me the worst part is having to remain in place until the president moves out. That's what keeps me from getting to where I need to be to set up for the commissioning, which is why I'm not going to graduation.

I get that it needs to happen for security and I'm not mad about it. It's just a condition we have to work around.

That entire video is hilarious. Tapper making fun of the Left like he isn't a part of that tribe, a child raised in his house wants to be a cop, blasting the Left's inability to communicate with kids today, blah, blah, he carried water for those people for years and now wants to come out as a voice of moderation and reason? Jake knows how to win back America for the Democratic Party...a guy who was part of the problem. Hilarious.

You know, I am starting to think that the very loud minority of people that gasp and clutch their pearls at everything this admin does isn't actually representative of the majority of the country. It's almost like (follow me here)... it's almost like there is a coordinated effort to make fringe opinions seem like they're the majority opinion and every time I see more data that counteracts that narrative, it makes me think so even more.

To highlight a broader swath of polls: He's sitting around a 46% average.

Given how polarizing he is, this is (arguably) more impressive than Rasmussen rating him over 50%.

America knew that things like DEI, mass uncontrolled illegal immigration, runaway inflation, and the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle weren't right. Even the zealots knew it in their hearts. It just took a permission structure for them to say it.

The ruling from a three-judge panel at the New York-based U.S. Court of International Trade came after several lawsuits arguing Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs exceeded his authority and left the country’s trade policy dependent on his whims.

Made me question what this New York-based U.S. Court of International Trade was...

...is a U.S. federal court that adjudicates civil actions arising out of U.S. customs and international trade laws.

...may also decide any civil action against the U.S. government, its officers, or its agencies arising out of any law connected to international trade.

So since they are civil, I'd imagine there has to be some actual injured parties here. Nope.. nothing injured yet.. a couple small businesses and states that are worried about it.

These journalists are such trash with biased negative framing. You'd think journalists could understand the nuance of trade negotiations. It's not like the administration, especially Scott Bessent, hasn't been incredibly transparent on how this is all good.
