According to the 1951 agreement, we have full access to Greenland for defense purposes. If its so imperative that we secure it from Chinese or Russian threat, I think this serves that purpose. I'm not against acquiring it, but let's just say its about the resources.
Laws, treaties, and agreements can be changed, or ignored, at will, and often are. The only way to ensure something is if you own it, and are powerful enough to protect it.


I don't think it's totally about resources, but it's definitely about interests.
