The Trump Presidency 2.0

According to the 1951 agreement, we have full access to Greenland for defense purposes. If its so imperative that we secure it from Chinese or Russian threat, I think this serves that purpose. I'm not against acquiring it, but let's just say its about the resources.
Laws, treaties, and agreements can be changed, or ignored, at will, and often are. The only way to ensure something is if you own it, and are powerful enough to protect it.

I don't think it's totally about resources, but it's definitely about interests.

Trump out there saying "the easy way or the hard way, its your choice."

Well the British own things and are out here just giving them away.

I actually disagree with him on this.
If he's serious he'll announce a military buildup and reactivate dormant bases.
That was my thought. Just use the 1951 agreement and buildup the US military. I dont think Greenland would have a problem with that, and would probably even share resources, but he's getting understandable pushback from the leaders in Greenland for threatening to take their land. I'm of Irish decent, so not real fond of that approach.

Wow.

It's absolutely amazing to me how much people are willing to share with total strangers.

It also makes me wonder what's being leaked that we never find out about.

Some dudes will say (or leak) absolutely anything if they think they'll get laid.
