I know him from way back. He was a battalion commander in my brigade. As a BC, his soldiers liked and respected him and his battalion was squared away. Doesn't mean he was good at his recent job. IIRC, he was also Hegseth's BC at the time.

@Cookie_ my experience with LTC George was much different. As a man, I wouldn't call him a POS, but I assume you mean in it in the context of his performance as COS.

His preformance as a GO. He became a shining example of the "good 'ol boy" club.
Remember a few years ago when a GO was messing with the BN command process to get his side piece command?

Randy George was part of it.


He additionally did everything he could to help an O6 who Beat/threatened to kill his wife in front of their children. Ray was George's COS at the time.
Ray was allowed to retire Honorably as an 06 the month after George pcsed to become the Senior Military Assistant to the SECDEF.

I am quite disappointed in this administration and the people I voted for. But it wouldn't surprise me if these people will be happy to leave their posts. Seems if you are not a complete sycophant, you're out of the club. Despite the typical bashing from one member here, the Gen. George I know is decent man and was a fine leader at battalion level. He got fired for refusing to let Hegseth alone block promotions.
