The Trump Presidency 2.0

Army Chief of Staff beat him to it. He's gone. I don't know anything about him.
I know him from way back. He was a battalion commander in my brigade. As a BC, his soldiers liked and respected him and his battalion was squared away. Doesn't mean he was good at his recent job. IIRC, he was also Hegseth's BC at the time.

@Cookie_ my experience with LTC George was much different. As a man, I wouldn't call him a POS, but I assume you mean in it in the context of his performance as COS.

His preformance as a GO. He became a shining example of the "good 'ol boy" club.
Remember a few years ago when a GO was messing with the BN command process to get his side piece command?

Randy George was part of it.

He additionally did everything he could to help an O6 who Beat/threatened to kill his wife in front of their children. Ray was George's COS at the time.
Ray was allowed to retire Honorably as an 06 the month after George pcsed to become the Senior Military Assistant to the SECDEF.

Was Ray's tab ever revoked?

What a collection of shitbags.

This was one of Randy's pet projects: Inside the Army’s failed $11 million marketing deal with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson | Fortune

I have no idea how this guy survived the headlines that he had during the Byron administration. He should have been sacked the moment Trump was sworn in. A complete joke.

Also...
1 down, 1 to go.

See ya, Pam! The Dow's at 50k.

Lol whut? Trump accused of running ‘misogynistic administration’ after Bondi dismissal

They really got a quote from Jasmine Crockett? Really?

Meanwhile, on the other side of the political aisle...

ALBANY, NY — In a bold new approach to economic policy, New York Governor Kathy Hochul has unveiled what experts are calling a “revolutionary closed-loop taxation system,” in which state residents who do not like her policies are first encouraged to leave the state—then urgently asked to return so they can resume funding it.

We can only hope....
I am quite disappointed in this administration and the people I voted for. But it wouldn't surprise me if these people will be happy to leave their posts. Seems if you are not a complete sycophant, you're out of the club. Despite the typical bashing from one member here, the Gen. George I know is decent man and was a fine leader at battalion level. He got fired for refusing to let Hegseth alone block promotions.

It is not OK for members of the military to use military time, equipment, and prestige to engage in politically-tinged attention whoring.

If that was the case here, and it appears that it was, there should be consequences.
I'm hearing SECWAR and General George' s final fallout was their disagreement on this situation. George wanted an investigation and SECWAR posted this...

I don't care, but I dont think you should chop the chain of command off at the knees. It could've have been handled in house without Hegseth' typical bravado.

I'd find that kind of interference frustrating if I were the Chief of Staff.

It does have that feel of listening to the Group Cdrs voice on SATCOM trying to run a patrol because the the fuzzy IR feed from the Predator makes him feel like he is part of the battle...

Neat video?
Of course - if you are a Kid Rock Fan.

Appropriate conduct from an Attack Helicopter Pilot in a congested urban environment in a large US city?
Probably not?

I have shit from Ft Bragg flying by my house all day long. But if I was out doing something in my yard and one of them just stopped and came to a hover while I was outside minding my own business, I'd wonder what the fuck was up.

Altitudes matter - and we watch more news than any of us would care to watch that shows catastrophic results from pilots playing fuck around and not being at the correct altitude at the correct time. This seems like one of those times.

It seems like a 15 second phone call along the lines of "Hey, this is Pete - I know we have procedures, but I'd sure hate to see these guys get crucified for a bit off bad judgement that will disappear from the news cycle in a few days. Do you see where I'm going with this General? Good. Thanks for understanding." The subordinate Commander could have "conducted his investigation" and released a non-apology explaining how the command had taken appropriate administrative action - air safety is our guide - readiness is our priority - blah blah blah - and this would be forgotten and brushed away like an 8-Ball of Hunters coke left unsecured in the White House
...but immediately coming over the top rope on social media to openly and publicly undermine good order and discipline is not "taking care of troops" it is exactly what is looks like. It's someone at the top openly and intentionally impugning a subordinate commanders authority and signaling that "some behavior is ok now".

I am openly, admittedly, proudly, and shamelessly politically biased...
...Democrats are the antichrist
...Trump can do no wrong.

Secretary Hegseth is NOT Trump - and he was wrong on this one.

My old company commander eventually made GO. I found him to be one of the most repulsive human beings to ever wear a uniform. Some of the things he did to me and others pooped all over the notion of being an officer, gentleman, and a professional. I found him to be a petulant, tiny-dicked bully who shouldn't be in charge of anyone...but he picked up a star before he retired.

I know some folks who swear to this day he is a good guy and they didn't see what some of us saw. He showed them one face and some others saw something different.

Both perspectives are true, or can be. I'm sure to members of the GOB club he was a rockstar. To some outside of that circle who he helped or treated fairly, he's probably still a rock star. To those of us who crossed him through faults, or none, of our own? He's a shitbag.

Perception is reality.

I'm just glad that there are no sycophants on the left side of American politics.
Lord only knows what Barak Robbinette Obidens third term would have looked like if there have been a legion of partisan sycophants floating around trying to make us believe that he was sharp, focused, and on point...

Sorry folks "sycophant" doesn't mean what it used to mean.
Not any more.
Not after watching democrats defend Joe and Kamala.

Agree. Also true that I do not know the four star General, I only know LTC George. But if you don't know a person at all or what's in his heart, feel free to criticize his performance but miss me with the personal insults.
