I went to civilian doctor 3-4 years removed from boot camp and he prescribed 400mg of Motrin 3 times a day. I laughed and told him what I was taught to be the correct dosage. He paused, blinked several times, and just said "okay, uh, well, keep doing that."
My wife is still appalled I take 600mg.

My understanding from the Norse inmates I had when I worked in the BOP was that blots in the modern era are done with food, alcohol, or burning offerings. In the prison, we'd cook them pork and they'd "offer" commissary items.
The animal sacrificing seems to be rare now.
Yeah I was also wondering about the bonfire aspect.
I assume that was Oxy... I raise a bottle of bourbon...or 5, just to wash the motrin down...
