Not Work Safe .

I think what we've seen here is a man who finally found an outlet to express his anger- but it shouldn't have been by way of an assault on international TV. Smith has had his son's best mate root his missus then he's been, I would say, humiliated in interviews about it. She clearly wears the trousers.

I have seen a comment that she had mentioned that her condition is self inflicted because she continually had weaves put in and it damaged her hair irreparably. She's been pretty open about it and talks about it all the time so why wouldn't this open season?

With regard to his laughing I can't tell if he just went along with the crowd before it sunk in or he's just slow. I suspect the former rather than the latter.

You just don't assault people for a cheap joke. It's not about honour or her honour (and why can't she defend herself? She's a strong woman) it's about doing what's legal. Pick up the phone and call him the next day if you're still upset. That's what Eddie Murphy did when Rock did an SNL bit about him.

He exploited Rock's responsibility as host for maintaining the decorum of the Oscars by walking up and suckerslapping him on live television while Rock's hands were literally behind his back, knowing full well Rock wouldn't be returning the favor when he turned his back to him and walked to his seat.

That told me all I needed to know about the Fresh Dunce.

Comedy should be the last bastion of free speech and if you don't like what is said, don't listen. Just think of the fucked up shit we have all joked about in the barracks.

I was going back-and-forth with a colleague about Duke-UNC (he's a UNC grad). I called him a 'window-licker who sits at the back of the short bus,' and he got so mad and just went off. At that point I just got mean. At some point you need to have enough SA to understand that when you go down a road, you go for keeps.

I completely agree. I think what all of these occurrences of seemingly outrageous responses to harmless words, is a sign of a deeper societal problem. Words can hurt but society has become weak if we can't rebound from it. It's no different than the safe spaces, no rough play for kid's, masks forever and so on. You build resilient humans by teaching them young, how to build strength from anything from germs/illness, word's, pain, failure, etc. We have multiple generations at this point that were taught how they can gain power from victimhood.

We are witnessing the downfall of western society. I don't know what's coming next but it's going to be ugly.

Chris rock had shit on his face?
Fresh prints from Bel-Air.

That video sucks because we don’t see the aftermath. That’s like a PG-rated trailer for a porn video. “Stepbrother, what are you doing” and then the camera cuts over to a houseplant.

1 of 5 stars, can’t recommend.
The look on the guy behind him's face is awesome, he looks away because he knows death is a knockin.
HOLY SHIT!
Do politicians enjoy the abuse from the twitter-verse?
Wow Will Smith just slapped the shite out of Chris rock

I was once given several thumbs down on this site because I got butt-hurt that people here were were in agreement with a comedian making fun of someone with Tourettes - which my son has. So, if that's the case...I don't get what y'all have against this...it's comedy after all...right?

Comedy is comedy.

I think comedians get a pass for most everything. A good joke about Tourette’s is a good joke. A bad joke is in poor taste. At the Oscars, there shouldn’t be many “bad jokes” because the comedian should have worked it out. Bombing at the Oscar’s isn’t appropriate.

A good joke about alopecia would have been great, and funny. Rock’s joke was weak at best, mild for sure.

One of the many things missed in this thread and discussion on Chris Rock's joke, which was great to be honest, are the realities of that marriage that are very public, more below. You may think it was weak, but ok. Comedians can't even be funny anymore, but if we're at the point where someone talks shit about me and I can beat their ass as a defense and get off? That's a new legal standard for me, let me know how that works.

Jada might be Will's wife, and their relationship may have even recovered, I don't know. But she openly slept with other men and it was reported in the news all the time and their marriage was considered "open". Except the only person who could cheat at a whim was her and when he slept around there was hell to pay. This went on for a number of years and people openly asked when the divorce was coming.

So when it comes to the whole don't talk shit or get hit talk, Chris Rock was one of the funniest comedians alive not named Dave Chappelle. I suppose he should have made a joke about loose female morality instead of GI Jada in the front row.

(disclaimer, I know several people with alopecia, one of them embraces being aerodynamic)

My son has found out that when outside a nightclub totally trashed, he's not denied entry when his friends tell the doorman he's on the spectrum.

This hits me in the feels so hard that I get nervous, especially since I'm at work right now.

Now, I gotta do the rain dance and feed the radio to keep it calm. I usually stick sugar packets in the dials of my portable radio on my radio strap. It keeps the devils, I mean, dispatchers happy.
