All good here. Got home, made up a go bag on the spot, took off to a mates place on high ground. Thought it was the big one.

He's been knocking about on Facebook, he checked in as "safe" on it today after the quake so he's alright.
Good to hear the other Kiwi's and their families are ok as well.
I'm in the Lower North Island and the house was a rocking last night, no real issues or damage here but constant power cuts during the day. It was felt as far north as Auckland. Top of the Sth Island got hit pretty hard, but the country got off pretty lightly as it hit at mid night. Just had another after shock as I was typing this.
Mac will be fine, on a good day he looks like an aftershock.

Doesn't mean too much here but I would like to acknowledge all the navies that were supposed to go to the fleet review but instead mucked in down south helping them out with evacs and loads in and out. Special mention goes to the USN, RCN and RAN who blockaded my harbour yesterday with 3x frigates and a destroyer LOL.
