Felix Baumgartner's death kind of made me think a bit in general terms. My brother dropped over at 45, a lights out widowmaker heart attack. Looks like that claimed Felix as well, but this stuff happens, right? Neither are "unusual" in human history. "Gone too early" or whatever, we've all seen it happen.
But it would kind of be nice to see more autopsies on these sudden heart attack victims. Gruesome? Maybe. "A-dub, we already know the outcome!" you might say. Maybe, but if you care about "science" then you wouldn't turn down extra data unless you wanted to cover up something. Sure, we can't force an autopsy on someone and this is an unrealistic goal, but it would be nice to have the data and tissue samples. The more the merrier.
