Last Sunday night (week ago yesterday) I started getting sick, assumed it was "a bad cold." By Wednesday the cough and fatigue make me certain it was not 'just a cold', and given my June vacation in the hospital with pneumonia, I went to the doc. Flu, RSV, and covid all making their presence known, a bit earlier than normal, so I got swabbed, sure enough covid. Got the good cough medicine and an anti-viral, now 90% better.

I fly for work fairly often, and it was a guarantee by the time I get home I’d be sick for a week.
Even though I am literally the only person I see with an N 95 mask on, I found that wearing one in the airport and on the airplanes have seemingly prevented me from coming home sick 100% of the time.
I feel stupid as hell, but I don’t mind not coming home sick.

I used to laugh at these people, not anymore. I look at a germ now and I get the cooties, and planes are flying petri dishes. I don't mask up in the airport but I will onboard the aluminum incubator.

Get them with some cool moto saying so people know how edgy you are. Oooh! Get them in a superhero theme like Iron Man or the Mandalorian.

I dont wear masks. Not even during the plandemic. But, I try not to judge someone, especially in crowded places because I dont know their situation. However, if you're alone in your car, you're fair game.
You can usually tell who the chronically ill vs sheep collaborators are with the face diapers. The latter are the ones that most likely rat fucked their neighbors for not socially distancing and called us, plague rats for refusing to mask and take the mark of the beast, I mean, helpful vaccine.
Yeah, I'm that guy, I won't forget how the government fucked people over and how a population caved. It was an insight to when SHTF for real for real and how Americans will become collaborators to the crown for perceived safety and comfort.

To the first point, yes. There are people who need to wear masks. I have been that guy. You usually don't see a lot of pearl-clutching and knee-jerking with this crowd. They know what they need to know, and they know to to deal with society in a way in which they will be the safest.
To the second, I have given this a lot of thought, looking at many different angles. I am not one easily given to wearing the "Hi, my name is 'conspiracy theorist'" nametag. I don't believe the event (however you want to call it) was staged or planned. I think it was largely a combination of Swiss cheese effect and ineptitude government combined with "good intentions" (and as an old now-deceased German friend would say to me, "ze high vays und bywaves to hell ees peved wit gud intentions"). That said, I DO with certainty believe the government learned how to use peoples' fear against them while simultaneously mapping a strategy to implement new TTPs to become more totalitarian when the next crisis occurs.
