Newegg was having a sale the other day, and I have poor impulse control

I bought Ghost Recon and the expansion Desert Siege the other day on steam- $1.30 odd each. Great fun! Controls are a bit clunky but really took me back to my last year at school.

Back in my day our games didn't have trailers. We looked at the box art and we liked it! You kids and your 40GB downloads! You think that's bad try loading one from 3.5" floppies! Oh, you whippersnappers don't know what a floppy is....hmph!

I was a bad ass in the 80's with a green screen Apple IIe, with TWO floppy drives :D

I'll have to respectfully disagree with you Freefalling sir, With 40 Gb downloads, hours of trailers to sift through to decide on a single game with 4 similar and on top of that 12 year

old's schooling you online and then degrading you.... I feel like I yearn for the floppy disk days ha ha :P..

Which is why I don't play MMO's or anything similar. If I want to get pissed off for no reason I'll discuss politics on Facebook or read the comments under CNN "articles."

No specific game, some games are actually lent towards a pug experience due to the fact that a well engineered and oiled pre-made team will just wipe the floor with just about any other team if everyone's on their A-game. Pug game limitations include World of Tanks, World of Warships, as prime examples. Both of these only allow 3 man teams and you have to try to do a countdown to joining the game search, then it's RNG/luck of the draw as to if you're facing each other, on the same team, or just get fucked and have to roll as a 3 man.... oh, and your entire team also spawned in different locations so you can't even work as a coherent element... which is fucking BULLSHIT but I digress.

Mechwarrior online supports up to a 10 or 12 man team, there's number limitations of light medium heavy and assault mechs (3 each) in the overall group, however you can very easily build a team that is well rounded and is just a roving gank squad racking up the broken hulls of your enemies below your tracks or feet actuators.

I'm playing stuff every night, but I'm retired, an insomniac due to things, and west coast to boot.... so when I can't sleep, I'm on... till it's time to take the kid to school, at which point I may/may not sleep.

Oh, if you're using Origin, Red Alert 2 and another DLC are currently free to play. I just played the "test play" for Grey Goo on Steam (it's over now) and beat it in the course of 6 hours, granted on easy. Semi-complex RA-style game, but while the graphics are beautiful, I can't say I was overly impressed. I might reinstall Duskers and give it a shot again.
