Typical of a Trekkie to make a disingenuous comparison. I'd expect no better from an institution that uses pseudo-science fast and loose like they do.

LoL you mean like the force and hyperdrive? The comparison was meant for laughs. I'd expect more from an institution that uses magic to justify a shaky plot line.

This shit is serious, yo. And it's not magic, it's The Force and it's as real as you and I. It's in every living thing.

a shaky plot line.

Like almost every Star Trek episode, but particularly the movies? TNG smoked the original because it had a plot and heavens to mergatroid, acting. The Star Trek movies are a bigger bucket of fail than wearing a Klan costume in Detroit, but enough about your high school prom....

There wouldn't be a ST movie without Star Wars and Close Encounters of the Third Kind and ST influenced the writing of SW. The reality is one (ST) gave birth to another (SW), the success of which allowed the former to return, Christ-like, to our screens.

2 1/2 weeks to Fallout 4.

So I think I found a game that'd be pretty awesome to play... It's called "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes".... designed as a party game of sorts, one person gets to actually describe/manipulate the device in an environment it's placed in... and you've got to discuss/cooperate with other people who actually have the manual and have to communicate instructions to defuse the bomb. You can teamspeak it up to play or do it all in the same room with the defuser on the computer...

Just watched a few videos. It looks really fun!

Black Ops 3.....not too bad, multiplayer is pretty good....it's not knocking my socks off though. You can't customize you character very much.

I never could get into call of duty too much pray n spray...

Battle field however......

I think you spray then you pray hehe

I play Dota2 on my Mac via Steam. Had to leave the XBONE in the US for the semester. I miss my GTAV :(

By the way, as it turns out, Vader didn't actually force choke anyone. My source is incredibly credible: the almighty Robot Chicken. To be fair, they did say they based the scene off the movie; there's a certain spot where Vader "chokes" someone and when they drag him off the set, you can see the "victim" kind of move to make it easier to carry him off. Look it up!! :D

seems like there's enough interest for a star wars specific thread.

Fallout 4 is out. Gonna check it out later on tonight. Reviews so far are pretty positive.

My friend is borrowing my XBONE for the semester so he bought Fallout 4. He says it's incredible, especially if you are a fan of the series as a whole.

Fallout 4 is, with 4 hours in, FO3 with a deeper story and different perks/ crafting. Different enough to be worth it, similar enough to not mess with a good thing. The interface seems more console than PC, but isn't too bad. The Pip Boy has a similar look, but seems to navigate a little different unless my memory's off.

The beginning sequence is Bethesda slow and a bit too...ambiguous for my tastes, but if you've played Skyrim or FO3 then you'll expect the nonsense. Once you're out of the vault the game really starts.

One interesting change is VATS. In FO3 it stopped time and allowed you to plan your attacks. In FO4 it slows time so the bad guys are moving towards you and the hit percentages/ availability changes.

The inability, if it exists I haven't seen it, to make your ammo is frustrating though. Also, at 4 hours in I haven't seen a single merchant. The plus side is you can begin building right from the beginning, so you can make a chest and bed in the first "town" to drop your loot before moving forward.

If you like FO3 buy FO4. If you didn't like FO3 then skip FO4.

Edit for spelling

Appreciate the review so far. I've also heard they are going to open it up to the Skyrim level of modding that really made Skyrim an awesome game. I can't wait to play with it tonight.
