Gaming thread

So.... Word of warning without any spoilers. It's possible to ally with more than one group in Fallout 4. I made the mistake of allying with all 4. The game gets really stupid after that. All the quests you just walk through and no one fights you except the turrets, raiders and mutants. The last quest I walked through the middle of a three way gun battle with a BoS companion and no one shot at me. I literally just walked through the middle of it, blew up two turrets and completed the quest. I tried doing anti-faction stuff to see if I could drop the relationships, but haven't been able to. They just shake their heads and say "hopefully you'll come around in time". I'm killing the game off and starting over because it's pretty worthless now. Just don't do it. Pick one or two (with common goals) factions and stick with them or just stay totally freelance.

Fuck that noise. I like Fallout like my sex life: alone.

Dude, I don't make the post-apocalyptic Trump Tower to just sit in and spooge off the top deck like it's some fucked up afghani guard hut or something.

and yes, that's as tall as you can make it. Trying to go any higher put me into automatic timeout for workshop mode and also wouldn't let me place things. That facility fended off a console-spawned horde of 50 legendary mr gutsy's just on a whim....

busy busy.... "beat" the game prior to that screenshot above, now having fun..... mod time bb yeaaaa...

All the armors are actually purchased/found ingame, I just modded in the second armor crafting station since NPC's derp on the standard one more often than not.

Although I am all for PC Master Race (All Hail PC), I did get this sexy beast from Black Friday. Now it is on to the Master Chief Collection so I can relive the story and setup the timeline for HALO Nightfall and HALO 5. Oh, and 343 did an AMAZING job remastering the previous games. The cut scenes are the best I have seen anywhere.

The main story in FO4 can creep up on you. I found myself at the last make-or-break decision in less time than I expected. If you don't do a lot of exploring or side quests, the game could end sooner than you expect.

My one criticism is on a typical Bethesda "feature." I'm a level 40 with only 3 points towards buffing my weapons. I've placed a lot of points into gun, science, and armor mods, but the rest are on building towns, looting, and carry weight. I am ridiculously overpowered and will probably bump up the difficulty from the base Normal level. Early in the game I ran into a Glowing One and it gave me a fit. Now he's 2 or 3 hits from my legendary shotgun I upgraded. The best part is I've used power armor twice. I'm rolling in upgraded "vanilla" armor and have 90-something stimpacks because I don't need them; I haven't added a single reduced damage perk. The most difficult post-level 30 fight I've experienced is with a deathclaw and the gang of flamers or whatever around a forge.

If you build up settlements and do a lot of gun and armor upgrading then plan on cleaning out every building you find.

ETA: Damn you, @Ranger Psych now I have to make my own George Jefferson complex. Thanks for that....

Have you gone out looking for all the big guys? I came up to the behemoth at level 12, he was at 50, and I couldn't take him out in at least 5-6 tries. Gonna go back in my 20s and juice up and take him out.

Not getting enough time to play because I'm at bragg at the moment, but might get some in later in the week. My alienware laptop plays it great on ultra at solid 60fps in town

I'm now just exploring and running side quests. I'll use those to "loot up" and then hit up my settlements to take care of their whiny asses (but it does yield XP) before going out on another side quest. I've killed enough legendary guys to have every weapon as a legendary plus most of my armor.

The Silver Shroud mission (Trinity Tower) is a challenge at lower levels because of the number of super mutants. Id' have run out of ammo at a lower level but doing it last night was easy. There's another by the Salem Witch museum or whatever, you help the "Salem Militia" and it has 8 - 12 mirelurks, some of them in buildings where you can't backpedal away. That would be tough at lower levels unless you squared up to them, hit that jet, yo, and blasted them in the face.

Sonava........watching this makes me really want to pull the trigger on xbox for Halo. Didn't go through to the end....just enough to "wet the whistle" So....SPOILER ALERT for those watching the clip.

You really wanna wet your whistle? Check out Forward Unto Dawn, which takes place just prior to the events in HALO 4. It is a full length movie that was done superbly. Mind you, this movie was made to hype up HALO 4. Plus, I think everyone will recognize one cutie cadet in the movie.

Normally, I would agree with you concerning the plebeian peasant console. However, this is HALO and this is one area where PC has failed to acquire this stellar title with any efficiency. So this gets a pass from the PC Master Race gods.... as a great man once said to my brother in the hell that was SIGDET "about face and draw fire"
