Gaming thread

I know this going to sound slightly lame, but, if you were a fan of Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, and/or Farmville; Steam has an awesome game called Stardew Valley. It has Super Nintendo graphics and is so much friggin fun. Instead of picking up a new language or volunteering at the archaeology lab I've been sucked into this game.

This game is still early access, but is freaking amazing. I have two others in my clan at the moment, and I have to say there is a lot going on (building, raiding, defending, etc). Check it out:

I think I may have a copy. I'll have to rummage a bit. I'll keep you posted.

Just picked up PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, played 3 games, died 3 times, but somehow managed to kill 2. It is actually a good time, not what I expected. A little frustrating, but a good game. I can't wait to see what they do with it over time.

It is a hard game to play solo. The game is best played with a team of friends. Squad play can get really fun and competitive. Solo play usually turns into a camp and 3rd person peek fest. First person view is the great equalizer.

I'm on vacation in Sep. Maybe we can link up for a bit and play. Being over here puts me on Asian servers, but I'll try some US and see if my Net makes it playable.

Purchased Homefront: Revolution.....it's currently on sale for about 17 bucks (PS4), but it's also for sale on steam too.

Haven't played it yet, but wanted to give a heads up...think the sale ends on 8/25.

When it comes to connecting to the US servers from Asia(Korea), I've had better luck using a VPN to one of the west coast stateside locations. For whatever reason the traffic without it ends up with a ton of packet loss. In games with stateside friends playing on Asia, they haven't had any issues. YMMV.

(loads PUBG)
(jumps)
(clears house)
"Oooh! A Vector with a red dot? I'm in business!"
(heads down stairs)
(headshot)
(quits to lobby)
"Fuck this, I'm going to play Hearts of Iron."
Last night I loaded into 4 singles FPP where I died as soon as I landed. One was even by getting hit in the head with a frying pan. I rage quite soon after that and went to bed. The game can be fun, but is highly rage inducing.

Protip: don't forget to switch to auto lol

I think duo or squads makes the game wildly less rage prone. The mistakes that cost people a win when two or three others are watching, like missing a window with a molly and setting yourself on fire, can be hysterical. All alone, that would be rough.
