Ya'll wanna play POE1?

I haven't touched that one in years. I'd take you up on it except a new Destin y DLC dropped this week.

Fun fact though: I haven't touched the game since April 28. I haven't touched any FPS since April 28. Y'all have any idea how sick I got my first few times playing D2? I've had to recalibrate my brain to play an FPS. Y'all laugh, but some of you know that is a real thing.

Oh, RIP to the outside world.

I know that feeling. I can't play 3rd person shooters or I'll get hella motion sick. PUBG??? I'll throw the fuck up. When I was playing COD and took any sort of break say, 3 weeks, it would take me a couple of hours to get the eyes right. That wasn't as bad, but I did get a headache. The FPS motion sickness is real.

I play until the nausea starts and then I'll do something else until the nausea passes. Wash, rinse, repeat until my brain adjusts. I had the same thing happen to a lesser extent when I went from a 24" flat monitor to a 35" curved and I was playing every day. My guess is how we process our peripheral vision is the cause, at least with the larger monitor.

It doesn't help that the new D2 expansion uses this spark ball thing to move around portions of the map. You're moving faster than you normally would but are in confined spaces so you have some crazy motion graphics going on plus this roller coaster type movement. I'll keep swapping game and life activities until I adjust.

So...poe2?

Tried poe1...can't do it.

My biggest complaint about POE2, unless the game has changed, is leveling SUCKS. It might be the longest slog to level up of any game I’ve played. It’s been 4 months since I played it, so maybe it was improved?

Maybe? The next large update drops in August which is when the next season/league starts. We should see big changes for this one.

yeah.. I'm excited to play some of open beta when I get back from my trip
I noticed a change in playing styles with known 2042 Youtubers between the beta for 6 and 2042. There's something about 2042 that makes people go from toxic in 2042 to PTFO for real in 6 and not toxic or trolling. However the lack of reviving those nearby was obvious and notoriously still a thing being carried over.

Killing people nearby before reviving is a thing. Not reviving even when it's safe to do so is zero excuses for real. And real talk, reviving is an incentive for people to PTFO. SMH, some people never learn. Smoke is not just for pushing or blinding snipers, it's also for rescuing your own to save tickets on your teams.

Looks like engineers can now carry both AT and AA at the same time, no more farming from pilots or a pub smashing crew without being fly swatted and that is excellent IMO. I think that there should be resupply points so medics not doing reviving and only resupplying themselves can no longer be toxic in resupplies at least for engineers and assaulters needing to be badly topped off.

Not PTFO'ing can for real kill a game or game mode. Objectives are great if you squad up with comms, horrible without and one reason I stopped playing Overwatch 2. "I'm slaying out. Get gud scrub!" Oh, fuck off. Unless you "slaying out" allows the team to cap a point or move a flag, you're useless.

Rarely is that player useful.

I downloaded the open beta for the xbox for BF6. Just did a few games, not bad.

And my public and sincerest apologies to the dude in my squad who spawned in my bird right before crashing I noped-nope and had self ejected. Pretty sure that dude was cursing me as he plowed into the mountain side. Heh. Controls are different for piloting. Sorry my dude!

Have any of you played "Ready or Not" on either PC or console? If so, thoughts?

Yeah on PC, quite a bit. Have you ever played SWAT ? RON is its modern, visually improved successor.
I absolutely loved the game, until the devs started censoring, downgrading and breaking it via patches, for the console release.
Currently, I do not recommend it for those reasons, because to me its practically a different product than what I had purchased.
But to the newbies, now it is what it is and you get what you buy, which is still a very good tactical FPS tbf.

I've only played BF1 after BF4, so am only vaguely familiar with all the post BF1 drama. Have to say, that I'm quite enjoying BF6, so far. Feels like an upgrade and natural progression from BF4.

I missed out on BF6 play test this past weekend because of Vegas, but I am looking forward to trying it out this week. AUG 14-17.

I heard it was a great return to form, although a few folks have noticed some cheating.. unfortunate on that.
