I enlisted as an infantryman back in July of 2014 I just recently got out of the Army in late 2017. I spent most of my 3 1/2 years in the Old Guard (3rd Inf Reg) as a member of a firing party. I had the opportunity to participate in over 600 Funerals in Arlington National Cemetery, a bunch of wreath layings at the Tomb of the Unknowns, retirement ceremonies for 3/4 stars, Chiefs of staff, and the last Presidential Inauguration. I did some interesting things in my time, but rendering final honors for heroes solidified a call to serve in me. I’m on the last few credits of my degree and I am in the process of trying to re-enlist back into the Infantry.
