Hockey Thread (NHL)

I’m in Honduras at a bar full of Canadians who are all are wearing their hockey sweaters and Canadian flags draped all over the place. To say they are not happy is an understatement.

US is fortunate that Canada‘s captain was injured, and doubly fortunate that overtime is three on three. I don’t think we could’ve won a five on five against them.

First Gold since 1980.

Would've, should've, could've... I'm sure that's what the Canadians were saying. There’s always an excuse. "If my mom had balls, she'd be my dad."

It was an awesome gold medal game. Totally worthy.

Fact is, Hellebuyck was incredible in net and Hughes play in the the last 5 minutes or so previous couple games was inspired.

No excuses. Team USA 100% earned it.

The love they showed for Johnny Gaudreau and his family throughout was simply amazing and illustrates exactly what the word "team" is about.

46 years to the day from the Miracle on Ice couldn't be more fitting. U-S-A, U-S-A!

In all deference to our Canadian colleague here, I don't like most Canadians I know (given there was a mass exodus of Canadian nurses to the US, I know a lot). The fact some of their winter sports have had controversy --cheating, fighting, two hockey losses--gives me warm fuzzies.

So many self righteous Cunts from here. If it was so great here why did they leave?

A coworker is Canadian-turned-US citizen. He's been in the US for probably 30 years. All he does is talk about how great Canadian healthcare is. My constant question to him which he evades is, "if it's so great, why did you come here?"
