I was there when LRPS or LRRPS changed to Rangers. I was assigned to Company F, 5oth Infantry (LRP) in 1968 until 1969. In February of 1969 we became Company F, 75th Infantry (Ranger). No Ranger School or anything else. One day I was a leg and the next day, I was a Ranger.
