sooooo......
Is it not possible to agree that Israel is NOT likely to act in "our" best interest - while still having the opinion that "bad things happening to the radical religious Iranian regime" is in EVERYONES best interest?
Is it possible to agree that while Israel lies to the USA all the time - and spies on her allies - that the USA also lies to her friends and spies on her allies?
...because I'm ok with that too.
This entire episode is playing out like a scene from Pulp Fiction.
Join me on a brief journey of cinematic metaphor and fever-dream story telling:
"Brad, Flock of Seagulls, and the Shooter-in-the-Shitter" - aka IRAN - have fucked around with Marcellus for the last time.
Marvin is clearly in cahoots with them - yet, he doesn't bother to let them know that there is another guy - with a hand canon - that is intent on killing them. It seems like Marvin has been spared, and yet, he still meets with tragedy.
...much like the assholes around the world that KNOW on any given day, that Iran is funding and deploying small cells around the globe to commit acts of international terrorism as well as providing overt, covert, clandestine, implicit, and explicit funding to know terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hez'b-allah.
Jules and Vincent, much like the US military, show up to visit violence on those who would seek to deceive their boss. Unfortunately, Vincent gets a little sloppy with his trigger discipline and shoots Marvin in the face. One might argue that Vincent did it on purpose out of anger for Marvin not telling them that there was yet another violent aggressor hiding in the bathroom and Vincent failed to check it before becoming distracted by the case (because every surprise event in the movie is tied to a bathroom)
...the shooter hides in the bathroom
...drug abuse foreshadowing happens when Mia goes to the bathroom at Jack Rabbit Slims
...Mia overdoses while Vincent is in the bathroom
...Honey Bunny and Pumpkin hold up the Diner while Vincent is in the bathroom
...Vincent is killed because he loses situational awareness (and his submachine gun) while in the bathroom
The same thing happens when civilized people try to practice diplomacy in the middle east - because the middle east is just one big political shit house.
...metaphorically speaking of course
Then The Wolf shows up. Clearly, the situation that erupted from the interaction with "Brad, Flock of Seagulls, Marivn, and the Shooter-in-the-Shitter" (aka Iran) has come to a head and has to be dealt with on a timeline before Bonnie gets home (aka, before the Iran kills anymore innocent civilians by randomly firing rockets at people they shouldn't even have a beef with right now).
Yet, oddly, Vincent decides to act like an asshole. (much like most of our allies do as long as someone else is doing most of the heavy lifting to solve their problems)
So, what does The Wolf say to them ???
"I'm here to help - if my help's not appreciated then lotsa luck, gentlemen"
It's almost like the rest of the world is always complaining "that someone should do something" and then when "someone" does something, people cant wait to bitch about THAT as well.
It's what America should say every time one of our ships leave port.
Everytime one of our aircfrat takes off.
Every time a soldier loads a magazine.
"I'm here to help - if my help's not appreciated then lotsa luck, gentlemen"
'No new wars' is no more of a campaign promise than saying no new taxes, or hope and change, or finish the job or I'm with her or even Jimmy Carter telling mother fuckers to turn their heat down and wear a sweater...
...our enemies get a vote.
Anyone that reeeeeeaaaalllly thinks campaign promises are a real boy probably think "Pinocchio" was a documentary.
The "establishment" has had their hands on the "Epstein files" for 20 years now - with NOTHING - not even a froplet being released.
...because the establishment is protecting itself
...and with only a year in office, we have MORE information about Epstein and his global cohorts than at anytime in the last 20 years.
Don't matter though. It's not enough. It's not "everything" - whatever "everything" means.
Then there is that whole "no new wars thing" - the one that Iran started back in the late 70's - the one that every President since then has blustered about.
The one that Obama tried to bribe his way out of.
The one that Biden pretended never happened.
...yada yada yada
The folks that have become emotional hostages of their love for Iran and its international terrorist hell spawn are like Mia Wallace...
-a slobbering, helpless bag of guts.
-hovering near death.
-victimized by her own faults.
-spoiled rotten by the entitled treatment she gets from her gangster husband
-now, reliant on a fucking heroin addict to save her from her own addiction
To what end?
She's just going to lie about the event, pretend it didn't happen, and go right back to bad habits as soon as the storm passes.
So goes the rest of the world as it relates to Iran.
...unless "somebody does something"
Don't kid yourself America - what's happening may not be optimal foreign policy, but a global community with a radical Islamo-fascist Iran laying in ruin is a safer place for all of us.
Just my two cents
