Israel and Iran

Serious question, how did you come to the conclusion that Iran was an imminent threat and its necessary to go to war with them?
I don't think I'm on the record anywhere, ever, saying that I thought Iran was an imminent threat. Did I say that in this thread? If so, I need to do a Rubio and provide some "clarifying comments." ;)

Okay, cool. I guess I'm just going to sit this one out. I'm honestly not even sure where I stand. It was a serious question, not intended to call you out.

Burden of proof has entered the chat.

I have had the most adversarial conversations with a bunch of the biggest influencers you know about this very thing. "Ok, you said the thing, it's on you to now prove the thing. The bigger the thing you said, the more proof you need."

"YOU CANT PROVE IT'S NOT THE CASE AND WHY ARE YOU DEFENDING X PERSON OR Y EVENT?!"

It's tiresome. I don't even bother trying anymore with most of them.
SUPER tiresome.

I was recently in a days-long enagement with a long time friend of mine who asserted that thousands of American servicemen had been killed and injured in the opening days of the Iran war.

Wow. That's interesting, I wonder if it's true.

When asked for evidence, he posted a USAJobs post advertising for mortuary affairs (or whatever they're called now). OK; a routine job announcement does not support the assertion of thousands of US casualties.

He then gave a screenshot showing that Landstuhl (the hospital in Germany that supported a lot of WIAs during Iraq and Afghanistan) was "closed." Why was it closed? Well, to support the thousands of casualties!

Or, you dumb fuck, it's because Germany is like six hours ahead of us right now, and that part of the hospital is closed because it's the weekend.

But it was all part of a grand conspiracy, and I guess I wasn't smart enough to connect the dots.

Then I noticed that it wasn't my friend posting it, but a friend of his with a similar name, who was tagging him in everything, which was why it was popping up in my feed. So I stopped engaging.

Yeah, tiresome.

I respect you Top, I do. I don't always agree with you I and that's okay. It's the civil discourse between us that we can get along with and learn from each other with that should the standard everywhere else.
I'm not exactly sure where I stand on this one. There are a lot of people with more inside knowledge than I who are passionately against this war and nearly 75% of Americans disagree with it. I was lied to about Iraq, and Netenyahu and the US have been screaming "clear and present danger " for 30+ years. I'm always for a pro American regime anywhere and wouldn't be mad about that, but I am not ready to support a full scale war in Iran. It doesn't really matter, because my opinion is not going to change a fucking thing. In the end its just discussion and maybe I'll see something I've missed.

Like let’s play this out… @Box gonna need you for this one.

Let’s say for argument’s sake Bibi is actually dead. Somehow the “truth” comes out.

Do people even blink? Does the collective world just sort of shrug and go, “Yeah man they lie about everything else why not this? We all knew this was the natural progression of AI.”

We sped right past aliens and elites trafficking kids and covid and all the rest… so what. Is. Happening.

I don't know either way, but Joe Kent may. He wasn't just a random guy on the internet. Also, Marco Rubio all but said it on National TV. I respect your perspective, though.

I do find it odd that all of the sudden, everyone trusts our government. I haven't forgotten that I buried a Platoon Sergeant, who was a great friend, killed in a war based on lies.

I find it odd that the very same people who said Joe Kent was a Nazi now find him credible because he's going against Trump. Or rather just convenient.

Alright nothings real everything is fake and I don’t know anything. I’m over this game.

Point of order, that piece of shit is a Hamasistani Sympathizer.

Has your opinion changed about Joe Kent?

If I'm being brutally honest, I had completely forgotten about him being the head of the NCTC. He was in a public office that is not public facing. But he chose to take go to social media and write an essay full of conspiracy theories instead of resigning quietly in three sentences. So...like I said in another post.

He gets credit/respect for serving honorably, for his combat deployments, for being a Gold Star Husband. But that shit right there? That resignation letter is grift.

Thats where we disagree. My opinion of Joe Kent hasn't ever changed and I respect his opinion and guts to say what he thinks, whether I agree or not. Did you think Trump and his cronies weren't going to troll him?

I don't think that took any sort of guts, remember resigning over ideological differences today is just as fashionable as it was from 2016-2020. You get to walk into the open arms of the Democrats who will then use you against Trump any moment they can. Oh and he's well compensated for that too.

3 Sentences, no tweets, disappearing to go be a father? That's guts.

As I said in another post, serving this great nation is not a train station. You need not announce your arrival or departure. If you want to leave, tell HR, we'll turn your phone off, box and ship your things to you. BUT, if you want to serve? Row, row well and live.

He didn't fucking walk into the arms of Democrats. Thats very dramatic. You can't stand that he disagrees with you.

So he should just shut up, huh? Okay cool.

You're going to regret this, but - challenge accepted.

Soooooo……
…it sounds like we want to delve into what it might look like if we woke up tomorrow and found out that Benjamin Netanyahu really HAS been un-alived for an as yet undetermined amount of time.

Has Bibi been dead for days?
…weeks?
…months?
…years?
…is he even real?
…have we been living a generational “Weekend at Bibi’s”
...how can Bibi be responsible for Joe Kent quitting his job if Bibi is just an intricate series of Generative AI Deepfakes?
...why hasn't the mainstream media reported on this yet ?!!?!?
...when does the next season of Landman drop ?

It’s hard to say with any certainty, because there is no real “news media” anymore. That ship sailed. There is no such thing as a “real” journalist anymore. We just have network sponsored content creators.
Nothing more.
Nothing less.

It is my belief that if we all just woke up in a few days to find out that really have been watching the “Weekend at Bibi’s” press tour unfolding in real time, that the global reaction will be something along the lines of, “Hmm. Yeah, that tracks. Anyway, what’s for lunch?

It is the logical progression of modern culture. We’ve basically trained ourselves for this type of Network Sponsored Content Creation at this point. As the good man says – Prove me wrong
We are the same culture and society that heard the following phrase, “The government has been studying unidentified aerial phenomenon that defy known physics, and we have no explanation other than, these things aren’t ours”
…and ‘we the people’ collectively responded, “Cool, cool, cool… but did you see how much a dozen eggs cost right now?”

Mainstream News Media…
…sorry, I meant, Network Sponsored Content Creators, treat 'breaking news' like it’s a Marvel Cinematic Universe post-credit scene setting us up for the next sequel in the franchise.

We consume these entirely normal, not-at-all suspicious or dystopian headlines as they roll in:
“UFOs are Real”
“We’re not disclosing how much taxpayer money goes to settling sexual harassment claims against elected congressional officials”
“Epstein DEFINITELY didn’t kill himself”
“But maybe he did”
“The worlds richest Somalians live in the poorest parts of Minnesota”
“President Trump is LITERALLY, Hitler!”

The public reaction at an unalived “Weekend at Bibi’s” scenario will likely be little more than a mildly interested, but otherwise exhausted, cosmic shrug.
Not because we the people don’t care, but because of the “So what” factor.
…because what exactly are we supposed to do with all of this silliness anyway?

How in the actual fuck are we the people really supposed to process the implicit admission of the possible existence of extraterrestrials, institutional opacity, global sex trafficking rings, secret Caribbean bank accounts full of embezzled tax payer money, the emergence of Newyorkistan under the charismatic leadership their new radical Islamic Mullah, and unchecked worldwide geopolitical conflict all before our first cup of morning coffee even kicks in?

Take something like the ongoing obsession-then-sudden-disappearance cycle around the Epstein files. One minute it’s “this will expose everything,”
“release it all”
“this is what we voted for”
“what are they trying to hide”
“its for the children”
…the next instant, its all forgotten - buried under the latest escalation involving a country like Iran and everyone’s attention gets yanked in a completely different direction.

Oddly, the exact same mother fucker that was a subject matter expert on Virology a few years ago, became a subject matter expert on the two hundred years long relationship between Belarus, Ukraine, and Russia, and how the rest of us have all “got it wrong”
…then those same folks became subject matter experts on recognizing the onset of dementia purely by analyzing the way Joe Biden walks off stage after shaking hands with an invisible person and shitting in his Depends
…the same folks that became subject matter experts on political campaign strategies
…the same folks that became subject matter experts on the history, function, and effectiveness of trade laws and tariffs.
…the same folks that became subject matter experts on Border Security
…the same folks that became subject matter experts on Immigration Law
…the same folks that became subject matter experts on the sociopolitical ramifications of a destabilized middle eastern region as it relates to US foreign policy and the global oil trade
…and now happen to be the EXACT same folks that seem to be subject matter experts at the positive identification of ‘Deepfake’ generative AI videos that clearly prove that Bibi Netanyahu is not only merely dead, he's really most sincerely dead.

It’s not that people stopped caring; I care.
I think.
It’s that our attention span has become as fragile as a 13 dollar carton of fresh eggs. Our ability to follow what is being delivered by the Network Sponsored Content Creators is like trying to follow the wheels on a slot machine: constant spinning, flashing lights, the occasional jackpot, mostly noise, and just enough confusion to fool you into putting more coins in the slot.

So, in closing, would 'we the people" even blink if “Weekend at Bib’s” turned out to be real?
Sure, but they’ll doom-scroll right past it before they realize that “Weekend at Bibi’s” means that somebody ELSE in Israel is now pulling the strings on US foreign policy

The most common shared experience in modern America really isn’t “nothing matters anymore.”
The most common shared experience in modern America is more like, “Everything matters, but it’s all happening at once...
...and I’m busy texting
...and answering emails,
...and playing Roblox on my cell phone

…while driving

This obvious security threat was retained for months? Not charged like a leaker should be. Not fired as a consolation prize for knowingly disclosing classified information. Nope, they kept him around and merely banned him from briefings? The head of the NCTC didn't know of Iran's threat to the US?

Joe Kent was under investigation for leaks before his resignation.

"The FBI is investigating former National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent in connection with alleged leaks of classified information, multiple sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell CBS News...The probe began before Kent resigned this week..."

Looks like this investigation was ongoing but they were yet to pin him down. He even alluded to it during a Tucker interview. "Kent appeared to respond to the suggestion that he was out of the loop in his interview with Carlson. He said at one point, after claiming the administration never put out a call for intelligence agencies to share all available information on Iran: "I'm sure the administration will come out and say, 'No, you just weren't invited,' but I've got a pretty good idea of how those meetings look, and even if I wasn't invited, I at least would've known that they took place."

It's almost like Joe Kent™ is behaving more like a typical DC insider looking out for his own political aspirations and less like a sincere, principled, person of conscience like we were initially led to believe...

I'm still going to give Joe Kent™ the benefit of the doubt - after all - there is still a large population of patriotic American citizens that still hold fast to the opinion that Edward Snowden is a hero that was only acting out his own truth.

Joe Kent™ should run for an elected political office because he certainly does talk and act like a DC insider.

Oh, brother, I had a similar conversation. I asked "if thousands of US servicemen were dying, why haven't we heard anything from any of the families or PAOs?" The answer was "they were bought off" and "they were threatened." OK, I'm outta here.

The most coherent guess I can make with all this Kent drama... for whatever reason, he fell out of favor with the admin. He either stopped going to meetings or was politely asked not to come, for whatever reason. Leaking and the investigation, canary trap, maybe. Pissed off Susie Wiles or whoever because it's Game of Thrones all the time in politics? Maybe.

Kent gets pissed, reads whatever's on the wall, and decides to walk away "on his own terms" by dropping his resignation letter. Was it genuine? Was it a political play to own the messaging with the first rounds? I would believe both, and neither.

Admin responds by letting it slip that he was already under investigation, undermining a dissident for the current thing. And here we are.

I'll say this- I don't have any faith in the FBI or their investigations. Kent was pushing to look at the Kirk assassination, made his claims with Kash, and Kash shut him down. Was that the trigger for his slow burn to now? Who knows. Until this is not an investigation and actual charges with discovery for the world to see, I legit don't care that the FBI said he was "under investigation". That could mean absolutely nothing or be a nail in the coffin. As the late and great Mr. Biggs said, take that shit to trial.

This is in *no way* a shot at Kent, rather, an observation of the simple facts of the event. Kent came out and said we are fighting Israel's wars and his wife died because of another Israel-led initiative, and he made sure to list that in his formal resignation. That's super trendy to do right now on social media, and it's playing well in the "MAGA civil war" dramascope. He either has an unreal amount of receipts to back that up, or he's trying to read tea leaves and see where he's gonna land when this thing settles.

Guess we shall see.
