Hey everyone. I'm a midshipman SOF hopeful going for the SEAL teams. I was denied a spot at SOAS. However, I'm very excited that I've been offered the privelege to attend the Navy EOD community's summer cruise. I was informed that there are many guys who go Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy and then laterally transfer after getting their warfare qualification. I was wanting to know if anyone had heard of any cases of officers laterally transferring from EOD to SEAL. I'd greatly prefer to serve with a group of hard hitting guys like EOD over SWO. If anyone has any experience or advice to offer in this situation I'd love to hear it.
