With the cold snap we've been having lately, cops have been running around like mad getting assistance for homeless people, as they always do.
This is stuff people don't see. Recently a video of a New York cop buying a pair of shoes for a homeless dude went viral and made national news but that really isn't even the tip of the iceberg. Hell I know there are folks on here who really dislike cops and they have their reasons, but the thin blue line's mostly about good. Here's one such story, and maybe it'll make you think.

I was like, "wtf is this news, somebody buying some cookies for a kid."

Oh, the officer was KIA almost immediately after, didn't even have time to eat his lunch.:(

The last little bit there, "character is who you are when nobody is watching..."

Great story.

I've seen parts of this before. I'd not seen the interview with the kid and his father. It brought tears to my eyes. Remember the little things you do in life may have signifigant impacts on those around you. We are truly diminished by his loss. God Speed Brother.
