It’s almost like the guy in charge of the military has no fucking clue what he’s doing and shouldn’t be tweeting.

We've all been saying this for awhile but do you guys ever wonder what his approval rating and chances for re-election would be if he didn't Tweet? We'll never know but my gut says he'd be viewed much differently and his chances would be VERY good. That doesn't make me a fan, however, nor is it reality.

Did you forget the designation of the Taliban? These are enemy combatants. Not civilians. They also committed atrocities. The world would benefit from them all taking a dirt nap.

Are we sure they're all enemy combatants? Not that we shouldn't deal with them, but a huge part of the spread of ISIS was the forced conscription of people in villages within the "Caliphate".

Maybe you're cool with executing people who were forced to fight/provide material support or have their families murdered; I'm not.

ETA: It's gonna be a super complex thing to deal with, and I honestly don't think our Kurdish/Iraqi allies are gonna be up to the task of sorting it out.
It's a rock/hard place situation.

Can't agree. The president's tweeting addiction is keeping his base strong. The MAGAts and Trumplicans love his tweets.
FWIW, I think he gets carried away and could be more selective, but overall I think the tweeting has been a very effective way to defend himself against liberal bias in the media.

Hell - impeachment is a political process not a legal one or else we wouldn't even be hearing the term in the media - plus, it doesn't really "mean" anything since an impeachable offense is whatever the majority congress decides is impeachable. Again, not that it matters, the legislature impeached Bill Clinton and "so what" - the senate let him off the hook anyway.

Johnson was impeached for "violating" legislation that political opposition put in place to limit his authority - legislation that was later deemed unconstitutional anyway - it seems the entire congress that voted to impeach should have been impeached...
So, in the end, impeachment is really nothing more than kabuki theater that was intentionally written into our national mandate to keep the peasant class entertained.
