Reintroduction

How does the SIE work at Keesler? Did they drop you from the Weather Course too?
It's up to the decision of the commander, you either get a discharge, put back into weather (in a different class), or reclassed into another job. It varies with the time of the year, I was put back into weather, but a few guys before me were put into different fields and a few other guys after me apparently have weather as well. They had a guy who got left the pipe a few weeks before he graduated weather, they reclassed him, really does boil down to what the AF needs you to do and the commander.

I graduated selection, I came to Keesler, I started team/weather, decided it wasn't what i was looking for so I quit. Yes there is more between A to Z, but regardless of the middle ground, the start and finish are the same, I did not have the motivation for this career field to complete the pipeline, so I quit. I wanted to go into the Army for something more combat oriented and something I was more interested in after getting to the meat of the course here, it's not about what I want anymore, instead its about my contract and what is needed of me, so until I get my shot to go over I'll be doing what the AF needs me to do.

I stand by my decision, I am pretty proud of going as far as I did, not many people make it that far let alone sign up for it and the pipeline was an awesome experience, id like to take what I've learned here with me and better whatever unit I get stationed with.
