Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

Lol, I just realized went I checked the NSFW thread on the movie and saw that only my post saying I was going ton see it was there.

When it was first announced that they were remaking IT, I was -very- skeptical, considering how badly other horror films have been rebooted, much less a Stephen King classic like IT. Hearing that they were altering Pennywise's image to be less comical and more dark only increased my doubt.

I just saw the official trailer, and color me surprised - in a good way. This actually looks very well done, they seem to be keeping very close to the 1st movie storyline, and they made some great casting choices (lead kid from 'Stranger Things' is playing young Richie). Anyone who watched the original will see they've kept it pretty close to the original, while the new Pennywise looks better than I anticipated.

I'll definitely be giving it a look now.

Here's the trailer:

"Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets"
Cool looking in 3D, too long by about an hour. Too many clearly recognizable movie references, some obvious (the Fifth element, Avatar) and some more obscure (Immortal), some 70's and 80's tunes which really "grounded" what could have been an original space opera. And two leads who look like teenagers with old eyes...

Too bad.

Huh.

Death Wish reboot. Has potential...

Cue AC/DC music and witty Bruce Willis -

Too bad, I would have enjoyed a "dark" move with Willis.

Stealing Clint's "gun finger" from Gran Torino nets you negative Karma points.

Everytime I think I've seen the most fucked up thing I can possibly see from you , I am pleasantly disappointed to be wrong again.

Kinda like that..?

Looks good!

Charles Bronson did a finger gun in the original death wish movie....
