Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

When we moved down from Alaska we thought it'd be funny to give Bibby her first lemon slice from my iced tea. She loved it (still does) and wanted more. RP and I have an odd child, she chooses fruit over candy, pud thai over pizza and orders her own sushi (in her words "Calamari is like seafood gum").:sneaky:

I took my niece out for the school holidays once. "What do you want for lunch, McDonald's?" "No I don't like that. How about Subway?" :-o

Today i learned a new term, “fridging”. No, it’s not a sex move (regrettably), it’s a term used by social justice do-gooders to describe when a female character is killed off, with the sole purpose of giving the male character a reason to avenge her.

I think I have hit the wall. Folks are literally making shit up to be outraged about now. When the director said he’d never heard of the term, it we suggested he was not enlightened.

Kill me now. I think I’m ready.

:ROFLMAO: Humanities majors... they call you a bigot, cause ya don't understand their made up words. :ROFLMAO:

I was born a generation too early....
It's not too late. They're are plenty of universities that offer degree programs in 'non binary gender vocabulary reconstruction' or 'binary gender based stereotypes in film'. For a measly hundred grand, you too can join the elite ranks of the humanities! Enroll today and we'll send you our book, 'Film and Patriarchy', and a bottle of pink or green hair dye!

edit: I need to look at a career in selling snake oil or in TV adverts.

Just caught Red Sparrow with Jennifer Lawrence on ITunes. It was good, tempted to go read the book to get more of the back story.
At the end of the day, nothing beats Point of no Return when it comes to these types of movies.
