Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

Everyone needs to go see “The Mule.” One of the best Clint Eastwood movies ever. You’ll laugh, and you might cry. You will not regret spending the money on it.
Next on my viewing list. I am a big Clint Eastwood fan. When I was a kid playing cowboys and Indians, I was Clint Eastwood.8-) Nothing better than all of his Spaghetti's.

The Angel, a Netflix movie, based on a true story about an Egyptian diplomat passing intelligence to the Israelis in the early 70s. Well done, a pretty good movie.

So tonight is the pre-release viewing of Aquaman. I bought tickets for the kids and myself only to realize I have a holiday party tonight. (Must attend.) So when they get home I'll ask how it was. No spoilers.

The boys said it was really good. Some interesting sound effects though. I want to know what you all think after you see it.

I want my money back. Any movie where Eastwood doesn’t shoot a guy or even raise his fist is not a true Eastwood movie. I thought it was long and drawn out, but I guess I was expecting it to be an action movie 😔.

Clint’s already got your $10 in his bank account.... I’m sure if you write him a strongly worded letter he’ll refund you ;-)

Eh... mustard stain > snide internet comments. He knows he has me beat.

LET US ENJOY THE VICTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like most Rangers, your lack of 'win' is only matter of "wrong place, wrong time" and all that. I don't need a tab or scroll to know that standards exist across generations for a reason...

You win the Internet points. Take the victory.

Eastwood was looking super frail so I don’t know why I was expecting it to be like Gran Turino 😆 maybe it was a good movie, but I kept thinking it was dragging on and building up to something. “Ok the narcos are going to kidnap the granddaughter and Clint is going to single handedly dismantle an entire cartel.” Wrong. The dude was driving a truck the whole time and growing flowers.

At least the final Rambo movie will have that plot, so Stallone better not let me down.

Was searching through Netlfix for anything and watched Burn After Reading.

It's pretty good, hilarious at times, don't know if I would go out of my way to watch it again but if you enjoy Coen Brother movies at all you'll like this.

Two things...

I agree and everyone I talked to agrees. Not even gun fingers?! Still a Clint movie that I would recommend.

When a Ranger owns a Ranger, we all win.

My only question has been answered. What did our Overloard do. Ranger. Thank you Scary Admin 😏😋

I mean, Clint is 88. Also, the movie is based on a real guy named Leo Sharp.

Best thing about the real story;
In an effort to avoid jail Sharp made one final, strange plea. If he could avoid jail, he proposed paying the $500,000 penalty he owed the government by growing Hawaiian papayas.
