Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

Yes, I thought it was amazing. I'm in the PGA, it got my vote for best picture this year.

It was great on so many levels, already watched it twice.

I was recently credited as an Executive Producer on my first major film project. One more and I to can join the PGA! First one was about the late Stiv Bators and the second may be about the late Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones.

Anybody see VICE (on Dick Cheney)?
Not sure if I'm pre-disposed or how much of a comedy it was supposed to be. But they definitely misrepresented the facts and also just made shit up for their own agenda. But in a vacuum it had some good writing.

One of my buddy's who is a California Silicon Valley attorney who is liberal as fuck hated it more than I did. Said it was completely inaccurate.

Only thing I didn’t like is it’s lefty propaganda vibe. But the dark comedy, acting and pace was great I thought

I started as an EP investor of films...nobody cares about the EP! Now I work in film/TV production. Nobody cares about me now, either! lol

If you made back your principal, you beat the odds.

Well, the great thing about doing docs on... a-hem...unavailable celebrities is that their fame is proliferated by many pirates. We did a vinyl run on Record Store Day and it sold out and alt venues buy the film for screenings. Good legs on these projects

Any anime fans in the house? I am not, but one of my boys are; tonight we are going to see something called Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. It is the film's 35th Anniversary and AMC is showing it in one of their theatres.

I like anime artwork. My favorite Japanese animated series was Cat Shit One. Not anime, but Manga. The first one was SOF bunnies killing Al Qaeda Camels in Afghanistan. I understand they have a new one, Cat Shit One 80, about a recon team of animals in Vietnam.

How did you like it? If you're a fan, Studio Ghibli makes some really neat films. Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle, and My Neighbor Totoro are some of my all time favorite films. Studio Ghibli also collaborated on a game called 'Ni No Kuni: The Wrath of the White Witch", the game should be on the PlayStation network.
