Just watched Pirates of the Carribbean dead men yaddiyadda. Fell asleep, woke up at some point, feeling I missed nothing. Kinda typical.

I tried to watch it because Javier Bardem is fucking amazing as a bad guy. Key word: TRIED. I was disappointed.

This move is fucking funny as...but you tend to laugh at the inappropriate, it's definitely not Oscar Wilde.

Watched it today, thoroughly enjoyed it.

I tried to watch it because Javier Bardem is fucking amazing as a bad guy. Key word: TRIED. I was disappointed.

I mentioned it a few years ago, but you ought to check out "the dancer upstairs", directed by John Malkovich. Bardem plays a Peruvian inspector in it. Good film.

Sir Lawrence Olivier used to vary his characters appearance by altering their noses, so as to give the appearance of immersion in the character, an actors thingamy. Javier B does it by altering hairstyles: both are /were amazing actors but this has to be kept in mind. Anyone remember Javier in 'No Country for Old Men' & 'Ricky, Christina, Barcelona?' Same Same But Different. I really dig Javier though, the guy delivers.

Dunkirk in IMAX was an incredible experience, definitely recommend seeing!

With the flying, which was truly impressive and how the individual plot lines come together which involve a high degree of logistics and effects, Chris Nolan is my pick for Oscar best director, editing also perhaps.

Went and saw The Darkest Hour yesterday.....Gary Oldman did a fantastic job, it's worth seeing.

Dunkirk is legit. Even my wife thought it was awesome and her preferred genre is horror. Nolan has to go down as one of the best directors ever. What he did with music and setting instead of dialogue was remarkable.

I recently re-watched The Big Short for about the 4th or 5th time. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it. I rented it for 50 cents through Amazon as a Prime member. It was on Netflix, but they took it down. Anyways, great, great movie and one of the best roles I have seen Steve Carell in. The entire cast is insanely good.
