Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

Kristin Wiig is funny and talented, it's hard to imagine her as a villain but I think she'll be good at it. She was pretty ornery on SNL.

I couldn't imagine Cate Blanchett as a villian and she did a good job in Thor: Ragnrok. Kristin Wiig is a good actress and easy on the eyes, so I think she'll do well in the role.

Personally, I think Wind River is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I highly recommend it. Renner was fantastic and the Olsen twin wasn't bad either.

It was the hot Olsen sister, not the twins, the one in Old Boy........Lizzie....:D

Agree this was a best movie candidate of 2017......:-oO_o

It took me some time, but I finally got to watch "Alien: Covenant". Considering the entire series, this one, and the Riley Robot have been the most disappointing. I know "Prometheus" had mixed ratings, but I really liked the film. "Prometheus" had a much stronger cast plus a stronger storyline. This sequel was below par and may have finally killed the series, with some help from Disney. Davids character has morphed into a dark sinister machine and actually matches up with one of Stephen Hawking's greatest fear for the future the human race.

20th Century has been bought by Disney. Disney has taken the series and put no even on the back burner, it's on the top rack for cooling down. I did not buy the DVD but recorded it. I'm not sure how long I'll hang on to it?

I think I'm one of the few who relatively enjoyed it, granted I didn't take it and compare it with the rest of the franchise so I think that's what's helped me enjoy it a little more. When I start thinking about how it stacks up compared to the rest of the movies that's when I start considering sub par to even bad, but as a one off watch it did it's job as form of entertainment.

I really wish they did a better job about hiding the twist with David, I remember being in the theater thinking to myself a good almost 30 minutes ahead what was probably going to happen.
