Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

I've been waiting for Batman Dark Night (with Heath Ledger as the Joker) to hit Netflix. Finally watchable this weekend....just and FYI.

'Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade' is on Amazon Prime. It's an animated film (1999) that takes place during the reconstruction era of a German occupied Japan. The film's story revolves around a fierce counter insurgency, bomb running girls, and political intrigue between the forces charged with keeping the peace. It's a slow burn thriller, if that makes any sense, with music composed by Yokko Kanno. Think animated 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' had a baby with the Grimm's 'Little Red Riding Hood'.

Love the lines and allusion's to, 'Wolves disguised as men' and 'Some find comfort as beasts, no matter how much pain it causes them'.

Aside from the beautiful animation the one thing that always stuck with me was the sewer scene with the girl. Great movie.

Here's a fun fact...

Tom Cruise is currently 56 years old and did his own stunts in Mission Impossible.

Wilford Brimley was 50 when he starred in Cocoon.

"Mind Blown"

continuing my temporary Tom Cruise man-crush. If you are a fan of the films, this is 30 minutes well spent. Dude has seeds....

Not a huge Tom Cruise fan, but this is impressive. Saftey line or not, those helicopters scenes are intense.

Bought a few movies that I've been wanting to see.

Casino Royale is the best Bond movie since Die Another Day, I'll have to watch the rest of the Craig movies. Also watched Man on Fire, great movie. Sometimes I forget how awesome Denzel is then I watch a movie of his and it all comes back to me, need to get around to watching Book of Eli, The Equalizer and Fences.

Me and the Kid saw MI Fallout today. Not bad at all. Tom Cruise has always had such a wimpy teenage voice. He still has it. Good action movie, though.

So Quantum of Solace is the weakest of the Craig films. But it objectively, by all quantifiable forms of measurement has the best Bond girl. It's not even a contest.

I really enjoyed the rest of the movies though and Skyfall was gorgeous/amazing.

1. Casino Royale & Skyfall
2. Spectre
3. Quantum of Solace
But only because of my future ex wife, olga kurylenko

Over Eva Green and Monica Bellucci?

You should probably take your garbage to Reddit, they will support your kind.

Over Eva Green and Monica Bellucci?
Damn it. I sometimes feel like I agree with @AWP too often, so in respect @SaintKP I did a side-by-side comparison.

But come on man....Olga Kurylenko is not even in the same league with Monica Bellucci, much less the amazing Eva Green.

@AWP @Ooh-Rah I'll concede the fact that Eva Greene broke my pause, rewind, and slow down button on my remote. But you're both seriously delusional if you even consider Monica Bellucci in the same ballpark, maybe if this was 15+ years ago you might have a point. But life sucks so get a dog.

ETA: I'm willing to bet that the majority of the members if asked to vote, as well as not being older than 40, would agree.

Excellent work!

All excellent movies. As for Bond, my fave of Craig was Skyfall.

I am waiting for Mile 22:

Your man crush is well deserved. I saw MI5 today & I was really gobsmacked by the stunts, due to TCs' involvement, let alone his technical savvy which is evident in the clip. The Paris car chase was really cool & I particularly liked the reverse handbrake turn down a little flight of stairs, (not in the clip) but that didn't prepare me for what came after. The Kashmir helo sequence was amazing. Due to insurance, the leads don't usually do their own thing, but cheat certain aspects. The fall from the chopper & the overall sequence therein looked about as real as it gets. Given his age, this may well be the last you'll see of TC doing a lot of his own groove thang, but perhaps a pared down version. Five stars for stunts alone.

Watch Hitman, then punch yourself in the face. Monica Bellucci is 137 years old.

Eva Green- I got nothing. She's an angel.

I would crawl through a mile of broken glass just to hear Eva Green fart through a walkie talkie.

Real talk.
