Kindergarten Cop - 30th Anniversary reunion with the kids.

Arnie surprises them at the 30 minutes mark. I don’t know if he is known as a good dude or not, but I thought it was cool he participated in this.

I also took notice that the first thing he wanted to talk about was wanting an update on their lives; not talking about himself.

Watched WW84 last night. Good god was that awful - a complete dumpster fire.

This was supposed to be a Summer blockbuster, really?! It was neither super nor sweet.

I'm convinced the movie exists solely to serve as proof of two things:
1. That guys will watch Gal Gadot for 2 hours no matter what it is
2. The Marvel franchise is the undisputed superhero movie champion of the world, DC can't hold its jock

Marvel have their movies down to a literal scientific formula, what most people forget is that for a long time Marvel put out some straight garbage (Green Lantern anyone?). Overall Marvel is undisputed in terms of quality, but I'd still say the Dark Knight Trilogy and Joker is the pinnacle of what comic book cinema can be everything else by D.C. however has been extremely lackluster.

I was so looking forward to WW84....in my opinion it was okay...kinda Meh. She was still hotter than hell.

84 had great ideas, vision and potential, but felt like every now and then someone walked in during production and complained they didn't insert enough platitudes and jabs at a certain political figure and the opposite sex. It was partially very comical. I loved the first Wonder Woman, because it was a simple, contained and enjoyable superhero movie. That's all I want from that genre. Not politics and prejudice. Gal Gadot's performance in 84 really carried the entire movie.
Visualy it's an improvement. There are some cool fight scenes and eastereggs.

Edit: btw I take back my earlier remark about her in that armor. It actualy looked pretty cool. Not gonna lie.

I thought WW and Shazam were fun. Aquaman wasn't bad either and apparently ppl liked it.

It can, as demonstrated with the Dark Knight trilogy and some of their iconic classics like Superman. It's not the franchise, but how the film studios and their parent companies handle those IPs. I think the big problem with WB's DCEU is that for all intents and purposes, it was created in response to the MCU's massive financial success and well deserved positive reception. Disney knows what it's doing. Those movies have a lot of heart and soul in them and I dare to say it's not just cold, calculated psychology. The launch of the MCU was carefully planned and deliberate, but with a great team that loves the material, and vision behind it. Imo all DC Films had to do is simply translate some of the most popular ( and maybe more lighthearted ) stories and character depictions in comics and animation, onto the big screen. Maybe take some inspiration from the animated films, because those seem to work pretty well.

The DC movies that performed well did so because they weren't driven by a "universe" storyline. DC's IP is more than enough to give Marvel a run for it's money, but the DC folks are functionally retarded. Actually, that's not fair, they aren't functioning. They suck.

DC can't get out of its own way right now. While the brands aren't damaged or destroyed, consumers will eventually tire of watching a bunch of 5 year old's playing dress up in daddy's clothes.
