Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

Netflix's Carry-On starring Jason Bateman and a bunch of other folks you don't care about.

Bateman is a a "facilitator" to the highest bidder, tasked with getting a carry-on bag to a certain flight without any scrutiny. To do this he strongarms/ threatens a TSA agent (Surprise! He couldn't get into the police academy) into letting the bag through.

Decent tension, a couple of average fight scenes, some overplayed tropes later, annndddd credits. Entertaining, a good popcorn movie when you've exhausted all of your other viewing options or want to turn your brain off for 2 hours.

3 out of 5 hidden earpieces.

Well I think the already made an announcement about how woke he made the movie, so yeah hard pass.
Where did he announce this?

Because if it's the statement I've read, nothing about it is "woke".

Especially in regards to the character of Superman.

My reaction when people don't like the bowl cut.

It's comic accurate, which means it's magnificently stupid.

Don’t get me wrong. I like Nathan Fillion for the role; I think he should have gotten the Hal Jordan role instead of Ryan Reynolds. I think they nailed the hair, but they screwed the pooch on the costume.

I'm looking forward to this one.

Looks good, my brother from the frozen North.

Now let’s talk about this fucking Timothy wotzizname Bob Dylan movie. Bob Dylan is ten years older than me so I was in high school when he was at the peak of his career. Everybody I knew was into rock. Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, The Who, Credence Clearwater, Grand Funk, the Allman Brothers, Black Sabbath etc etc

Nobody, absolutely nobody I ever met or knew in high school, the Marines or in subsequent years ever bought a fucking Bob Dylan record. I’m not just talking about guys like me. Even hippies didn’t buy his records.

Why?

Because he can’t. fucking. sing.

Sounds like somebody stepping on a cat.
He's the most over-rated no talent I've ever heard. Just dreadfully bad. Who the fuck would want to see a movie about him?!

He was born in Minnesota, so local media is obsessed with him and won't stop raving about him. Funny thing is, Dylan despises MN. He left at 19 and never looked back. To which, I say, good riddance.

Let’s find out! Sidenote, if you’re in the music this particular reviewer is a fun one to watch. Aside from the fact that she’s pretty hot, she has a crazy music background and really enjoys what she does.

Didn't watch this one through, but I've seen a few of her other videos, and I'll say her thorough and insightful analysis of songs barely rounds out sitting through all the derpy faces she makes as she's picking up things in the music. :ROFLMAO:
