Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

Maria and I finished third season of The Diplomat. It's good. Wonder if there will be a 4th season.

There needs to be and it wraps up. S3 was really good, but they are upping the stakes to Mission Impossible levels. Wrap it before it jumps the shark, make S4 the last.

Also, this is the movie thread...

Weapons w/ Julia Garner and Josh Brolin on Netflix. I expected a horror-esque movie, but it wasn't. More of a supernatural thriller type. As someone who hates horror, that was a huge plus.

Garner's a teacher missing her entire class minus 1, Brolin's the father of one of the missing. We work out the 5W's until the end. No huge surprises, no huge twists, just a story which is almost unheard of today.

3.5 out of Naruto runners.

Bonus take: Julia Garner is highly underrated and can play just about any role. She's also half my age and I don't care if you judge me...

This looks rad as fuck and I don't speak Ukrainian or Russian. Lol

That's some quality propaganda. I'm impressed they can let quality shooters lime that, away from the front to make a movie.

"Ukraine’s first-ever tactical action film—a high-intensity feature inspired by real special operations and created in collaboration with Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR), the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Third Separate Assault Brigade, and defense industry specialists—is coming to cinemas under the title KILLHOUSE."

My son (in EMS) and I watched Code 3 last night. @Muppet , didn't you put that up on here already? I enjoyed it. It had some groaners but I think did a fair job depicting some of the struggles and feelings of folks in EMS. I'll be honest, it did trigger me a couple times, which I did not enjoy.

Wasn't me but I'd watch it. I remember when Bringing Out The Dead came out 25 years ago.

I was newer but now, I get it.

Some of the cases and patients are caricatures, stereotypes pushed to the limit to show extremes, but they address the BS we all see and hear ('what's the worst thing you've ever seen?'), and the reflections on relationships and responding to calls and how you feel is very much spot on.
