The Innovators is part history, part philosophy, and covers key personalities and their stories to bringing us the Internet we know today. From Ada Lovelace (Lord Byron's daughter) and Babbage, to Google and Apple, with everything in between, Isaacson wades into the controversies of "who was first" for key developments in the process. He breaks down how some aspects functioned, but also spent a lot of time explaining "why" The Innovators made their choices. He addresses controversies such as Jobs "stealing" from Xerox, Gates "stealing" rom Jobs, several other cases, and even Al Gore's role in creating the Net. (Isaacson's explanation and defense make sense).

If you're a computer/ history nerd or just want to know the "Why" and "How" we all came to be on this forum, this isn't a bad book.
