Yeah. The midget got up to triple digits for the 2nd time in her life in the Viper pace car they have out here during a TA weekend.

Too many people (and honestly manufacturers) don't understand or lean into trans-am racing. It's actually sorta nuts because of the fuel restrictions they place on things. One racer who's local to here is Cindy Lux and she had a nice chat with the kid too, being the only woman driving.

That lady can drive and that car is awesome. The fuel limitations is the funny part for them, because they're gambling hard with fuel consumption and that V10... if there's not at least one yellow from someone wrecking out, they'll run out of fuel on the last lap sometimes. LOL

Very true, but there was a time when Trans Am was the shiznit. When the American muscle cars of the 6Os and 70s were competing, every team and manufacturer wanted in. Today, the muscle/ sports cars are pretty bad- ass again, but racing has not been embraced by the manufacturers the same way.

We know that answer because it was on full display last night. The whole world is familiar with your tack welding prowess by now and you look stupid. Or lazy. Or both, but mostly stupid.

You're as inept as Congress. You even thought it was enough of a problem to warrant stewards by the covers to watch for movement? Idiots.
 
John Force officially retired from NHRA with Seventeen championships. Absolutely ridiculous. I met and talked with him years ago, and got his autograph. He was/is a great ambassador to his sport and good to his fans. Happy retirement, GOAT.

NASCAR in the 80's was really competitive and there weren't any gimmes minus superspeedways once the new t-bird came out. Elliot had the #9 on rails and the Buick 2+2 was dogwater on anything but short tracks (I think Rusty Wallace was the best in that model. Bobby Allison was still competitive. I think he was in a Gatorade sponsored car before moving to Miller and a Buick?)

Anyway, Prost/ Senna and the McLarens...you knew one of them would win, but it was a fight. Williams had its moments, Ferrari and Schumacher were unbeatable once they sorted out the car. Ever since then the overall racing has gotten better in F1, but you have periods of dominance by one team or another with the remainder close enough to keep it interesting.

But it is kind of boring when you know the winner even before qualifying is over.

Elliot was always fast. If he were more aggressive, he'd would've won a lot of championships. He was the most popular driver because he didn't piss people off. Could say the same about Mark Martin. Schumacher was the GOAT, and for some reason I never got tired of watching him win.
 
I tried watching an F1 Academy race.

I'd rather drown myself in a rest area toilet.

Please stop catering to sub-amateurs because they have a vagina.
 
It's pretty remarkable. I don't know even know what to call it at this point, lack of focus or whatever, but they seem to be doing everything in their power NOT to win a title.
 
I'm Team Piastri all the way, but if I can't get that, then we root for Team Max. If Max puts himself in good range by the last race, maybe Piastri takes lando out in turn one.

This is is the only correct take on the whole topic.

2025 has been wild across the board. Between politics, the world in general, and even F1...just wild.

Plank wear less than the width of a human hair as determined by a 60-ish dollar tool from Amazon is just mental. When you look at the 2nd and 3rd order effects of the double DSQ, tens of millions of dollars could change hands as it reshuffles back markers in the constructor's standings. McLaren and Ferrari vying for the title of worst pit wall in F1 isn't unexpected, but damn.

If Red Bull fires Horner before the season started Max might have clenched his fifth in a row by now.

Wild.
