The Trump Presidency 2.0

I stand corrected. Some folks in the office are receiving the letters while others are not. I don't know what the break point is...maybe the 10-year mark? I don't know.

OPM has a new email address that can communicate to all federal employees.
The email went out late last night to every Fed in the country. Most people aren't scrolling down to see the section that says:

"...except military personnel, USPS employees, positions related to immigration enforcement/national security, and those specifically excluded by your agency."

Something I'm noticing with this/some of the EOs is they are forcing agencies to be reactive instead of proactive. Why not avoid all the confusion and headache by giving agencies a short period (7/15/30 days) to determine where cuts are and then provide that information?

I'm assuming it's because they are trying to get around injunctions and lawsuits, but those are happening anyways.

I mean, if confidential emails won't be confidential amongst attorney...perhaps we should get ourselves some new attorneys?

Swamp critters are mad that their duly elected head of government can send them nice Christmas messages? Welcome to the Army in 2011.

If there’s a tenure cutoff it’s far below 10 years. I don’t know anyone in our office who hasn’t gotten that email.

I'm almost pissing myself at how funny that is...

"...per email obtained by CNN"

I love how the email complaining about how fast sensitive and/or interoffice emails are leaked...
...was leaked

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

That shit is funnier than a one legged hermaphrodite in a butt fucking contest.

Yeah, I'm seeing that too as I reach out to more people. For a fact, 3 of us didn't receive the email. Nothing. Nada.

Several are considering the offer though which would have significant consequences if they accept.

I don't think anyone is "mad" about the OPM email , moreso that it went out before most agencies were able to identify who is exempted.

Guidance this morning from our immediate HRO is nobody is authorized to respond to it until further information from NGB comes out. We don't know if "military service members" includes T5/T32 guardsmen, for example.

Holding a vote in the SCIF? I can see having the discussion in a SCIF, maybe. But voting? No, we need that out in the open.
There is probably a miscommunication here. The Senate Intel committee can meet and discuss the nomination in a SCIF, and can certainly hear testimony from the nominee and others in a SCIF, but there’s absolutely no way a vote on the open floor of the senate would (or could) be kept secret. They might be talking about the Senate committee vote, which is typically just a thumbs-up or thumbs-down recommendation to the larger senate.

BLUF: None of this is working out well, or as reported, or even makes sense.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Reading my branch's latest guidance this is going how I thought. "Stand by to standby."

Fork in the Road email is legit, but DoD is looking into if that applies to their personnel or not, so don't respond just yet. RTO requirements are legit, but numerous factors prevent this from happening, so continue to do what you do until we have further guidance. You have to return to the office within 30 days, but we don't know how that will happen so be flexible.

Some contractors in our building were placed on permanent telework because there aren't enough seats for Gov and Contractor. Shit, son, this RTO order is already making gains...right?

This is hilarious. I'm glad DOGE is staffed with geniuses...

I am not tired yet of the winning.

I hope the expected 5-10% of the emailed folks take the package. That's $100B. Then, I hope the president moves every single one of these gluttonous departments out of DC- it is estimated that 20% of the DC elite won't move to places like Des Moines and Idaho if directed. And to that I say (in Jocko's voice)- good.

As an aside- holy JEEBUS is Karoline Leavitt a savage on the mic. The Find Out administration is in full swing- and it's been 9 days.

I'm interested in how they got to that $100B number.
The CBO numbers
In fiscal year 2022, the federal government spent roughly $271 billion to compensate those civilian employees. About 60 percent of that total was spent on civilian personnel working in the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Homeland Security.

Either way, drawdown is good. I'm supportive of changes to our employment structure/standards. It's only a small percentage of feds (I've seen) who are shitbags, but it's impossible to get rid of them barring something criminal.

If I could move my job to Idaho...Fuck, I'm in.

The government is only funded up to March so I’m not sure how secure that promise of 8 months pay is

Edit: Oh, never mind. This is an offer for morons. It’s not a severence check, it’s “We’ll pay your normal salary and you can do whatever until October. Then you won’t have a job.” I would be surprised if 1% of the workforce took this

Lol. You guys realize that anyone from DC is going to get loved tenderly in Idaho... right?

People haven't forgotten the above and the influx of California liberals, during Covid, has made the population hostile to outsiders.

I'll bring my neighbors a costco pie and then I'll stick a 10' American flag in my yard. I'm sure they'll get the point when I don't roll up in a Tesla.

You're better off asking your neighbors which local church they go to.
