I think we're all guilty of knee-jerk calls for insert-action-here-on-the-other guy, but hopefully most of us don't post them.
I have as well, but I like to think it's been parallel to a lot of 'life' and not necessarily concomitant to being on the site. Not to get all metaphysical, but once I found out I had metastatic cancer without a whole lot of options context and meaning to a lot of things changed, especially politics. Shit like what we are seeing has been going on since 1776, and will go on so long as we have a union.

I’ve always heard the term used fairly unambiguously in reference to the removal of a person from a place with no significant harm done.
In recent days I've heard it explained as taking someone 8 miles out of town and putting them 6 feet in the ground. So a murder. But again the only context I've heard it used in before literally this week is "cancelled" or "removed."
