There are a few out there still waiting, but for the big/contentious ones, yes.
Other than Mitch "Totally wasn't a stroke" McConnell, the voting on contentious people or topics has been along party lines. On a few close votes Fetterman and Welch went against their own party. Unless there's a nominee that would push Republicans to side with the Democrats (Hegseth), they are going to be rubberstamped.
re: noms still on the table- I was just reminded that this chick should not be pushed through, I am hoping she doesn't get tapped for labor, I assume she gets the ole "no" in hearings. Her history leads me to be a no (dog) on this one.

I think she'll make it through, because Trump has been pushing pretty hard to flip unions from D to R.
It's a pretty easy bone to toss to those groups without a loss for him. He can always replace her if she doesn't stay in line,
Yeah, I don't disagree here. I definitely think there were better candidates and I really dislike her history.
I was a young Pte, on a road move up North for some winter training with locals on a reserve. Our last fuel stop, my Sgt had me carry several cases of assorted fuel and get the amended receipt. Mind you we already had rum rations with us, the good old days. Lesson stuck with me for my career.
100% union appeasement. Honestly a good political move by Trump to pull in the teamsters.
Helps keep swing states more red in next election as long as nothing gets bad.
I've long thought and said if the Republicans would soften their stances on unions and abortion, they would not lose an election for a decade. Executive and Legislative are red for a decade. No back and forth shift every 2 years which is our history...everything stays Republican for a decade.
I agree it's the right move for the reasons you elucidated, I just don't like her. Definitely a "me" problem.

Argument for term limits is that it makes maintaining foreign intelligence and influence operations harder to carry out. Cause people are constantly switching out.
On the other hand, it also makes it more difficult for new political appointees to sniff out the webs corruption in their DC ecosystems. Also doesn't help that McConnell is part of the Deep State.
Abortion and unions are going back to the states. Neither of these issues have been remotely fixed and their inclusion at the Federal level has been disastrous for our society.
I know you complain about religion, but Protestant/Christian values and Greco-Roman philosophy are what made our nation. Western culture and religious values had kept our society stable. The countercultural revolution and dismantling of the nuclear family has been a death sentence to many.
Agree that it's murder. Not a fan of any abortion, other than for disease or genetic disorder tbh. Have met way too many women who think that killing their offspring is acceptable, so that they can keep living questionably. It's honestly pretty fucked up.

This is where I disagree with establishment Republicans. I respect that some people view abortion as murder. Politically, I don't agree with going hard in the paint with "life begins at conception." Because it's difficult for me personally to call it murder in the very early stages and it's also none of my business what decision someone else makes.
